Allandrel: I've removed the references to Buffalo Bill as a transwoman, as Lector makes the case that he is "not a real transexual, but he thinks he is. He tries to be. He's tried to be a lot of things, I imagine." Bill does not identify as a woman, but rather hates his own identity.

Guesss Who: I liked the movie version of Hannibal Rising better than I liked Hannibal or even Red Dragon. It didn't try to be Sot L, which is a good thing because Sot L won 5 Oscars and can't be done twice. It felt like something of its own.

I don't think the synopsis of Red Dragon is correct - Graham visits Lector for advice once, near the beginning. After that, Lector spends most of his time helping the Tooth Fairy.

  • That depends if you're watching the movie or reading the book. The movie had a lot more Lecter fiddled in (Hopkins getting star billing; Just Here for Godzilla, etc). In the book he appears on a total of seven pages. Let's just leave it the way it is for now; only us purists know the difference (or care). ~Slvstr Chung

Caswin: Alright, I have to ask. When did "racist" became equivalent to "death-deserving sub-human not worthy of a gender-specific pronoun"?

Mr Wednesday: While I would enthusiastically agree with that definition of a racist, it does seem a bit over-the-top in its vitriol. I suspect we have one of our...odder contributers to thank for that...

[EDIT]: *checks history* Ah yes, Ronin Aquila.

"Are you actually implying Asian haters are human beings, and that its okay to laugh at us for having "slanty eyes" and our women having pussies that run the same way? Fine. This is as nice as I'll EVER be talking about ANIMALS such as these, but the fact remains Asian haters are NOT human beings, and they never deserve to be classified as such."

Caswin: So... apart from conflating "not okay" with "inhuman"... is it just Asian-haters, or would I be disqualified for "person" status if I used a racial slur against an Inuit?

Anthiens: Bigotry in and of itself is far from okay. I have no respect for them, but I don't wish death on most people. I'll save it for my personal Freudian Excuse.

Matthew The Raven: Nobody's saying racism is a good thing. We just needed to remove Ronin's over-the-top vitriol from the page. It doesn't help that RA is a huge Antisemite, but that's neither here nor there.

Blossom Morphine: Just created a seperate Red Dragon article, since there was a request that this page be solely for SOTL. How do I remove the alt title: Red Dragon from this article? Tried looking for the info, didn't find it (maybe I'm just not looking right?).

Anonymous Mc Cartneyfan: I'm hoping this does it by itself eventually. I forcibly redirected the Red Dragon redirect...

Anonymous Mc Cartneyfan: I mean, I redirected the page for the (second) Red Dragon film (which had been redirected to here) to the Red Dragon book page.
