- Fridge Logic: Why is Darwin so important when Albert Wallace came up with pretty much the same theory on his own and would have published it at about the same time if Darwin hadn't intervened?
- Because in the alternative timeline Darwin instead published a wishy-washy compromise that made sense and that both sides of the potential debate accepted. It could easily be said (by the authors) that this overshadowed Wallace.
