Chris X: I'm beginning to wonder if we are too much flanderizing Jin's 'evil' qualities. I will admit that he comes off as a jerk and crazy. However, there were some things I noticed after seeing some youtube videos... especially about the minimal stories there:
- It would appear that Jin doesn't hate Noel because he can, unlike all you theorized. See, he had his Trauma-Induced Amnesia, all he remembered is that someone who had Noel's face is causing him that trauma and he hated that person for it. Naturally, thanks to that amnesia and Noel possessing that face, Jin hates her. So it's not like he does it For the Evulz.
- During the flashbacks, Jin admits himself that socializing with people is not really his specialty. So... I would admit that he is more of a loner instead of a born Jerkass, it's not like he's a jerk because he CAN and enjoys being a jerk, his Jerkass tendencies stem from the fact that 'he's not good with social skills'. Said ending includes, him nicely greeting Noel during her first cadet days, thus signifying that even if he's a Jerkass, he's not as much of a big jerk as everyone hyped him to be.
- Lastly... if Jin is such an evil evil bastard... can we say he's a Complete Monster? How many dogs has he kicked? Has he crossed the Moral Event Horizon? To my knowledge, other than being a jerk to everybody, he hasn't truly committed anything very heinous.
- It wasn't him who crossed it (except in Carl's case, but Stable Time Loop actually allows us to disregard this or accept it as we see fit). Yukianesa crossed it in the storyline that has him follow Ragna and Nu. If anything, we can view Yukianesa as the Complete Monster and Jin himself as a Yandere.
Okay, I won't excuse about his... other tendencies. But maybe we've been flanderizing him for quite some time.
Feel free to rebuke though.
- He kills Noel in his story mode. He was Axe-Crazy at the time, but it's clearly a Moral Event Horizon.
English VA's may now be added as new footage will be released in the coming weeks.
Vulpy: I have an Alternate Character Interpretation for Jin, and it centers on the fact that every character seems to have something of a Ripple-Effect-Proof Memory, in that they occasionally see monochrome flash...backs? Forwards? Lateralies?...of plotlines that are parallel to the current one. What if Jin somehow senses and/or "remembers" that Ragna is going to be/is the Black Beast, and feels a certain level of precogisant fear or hatred for the Beast, who is destined to become his mortal enemy? I think he's more of an asocial jerk with a Artifact of Doom in the form of Yukianesa and the weight of "the Wheel of Fate" resting solidly on his psyche. From that perspective, it's a bloody miracle he's as sane as he is. And as Hakumen, he did have the willpower to defy both the corrupting effects of the Boundary's "Edge" and Heisenberg's uncertainty principle when that pesky Grimalkin tries to teleport him around. Cut the guy some slack; if he wasn't such a Determinator he probably would be all Axe-Crazy all the time.
I saw on the character sheet that Ragna's English VA has changed again! First it was Crispin Freeman, which made me squee because Kyon would be Ragna in both Japan and America. Then, it was Travis Willingham, now it's Patrick Steiz. Who else will they change? Will they take out Spike Spencer out of his role next?
Chris X: English VA tends to be uncrediting, leading to speculations, etc. We're not The Other Wiki, so things may change a lot. But I wish those who change things take their time in research rather than just posting out of blue when new info is out.
Vulpy: You there! Unknown Troper at 75.83.151.157! Nice Sting you added. I just finished story mode completely (100% with everyone) and came here to see if I'd missed any connections when I found that. Also...why the Hell don't you have a handle yet, idiot?

Some New Guy: Erm, why is almost everything about Kokonoe a spoiler? The game makes no attempts to hide her Cat Girl Mad Scientist traits. Its even flatout shown in "Teach Me Ms Litchi!".
Foxtrotpenguin: Does anyone know where I can find an english translation to Bang's 'Bang Install' song? My google-fu is weak.
