Rebochan: Hey, I'm the one that added the DILP entry. While I agree that nobody actually harbors perverse sexual lust for Therese, I thought that Draco in Leather Pants also covered characters that were given a complete whitewash by a section of the fanbase, regardless of whether they wanted to boink them or not. I put it up there because some of the pro-Therese stuff tends to fuel some pretty strange interpretations. I personally blame the Anthony effect - he's so obnoxious that some people go insane just contemplating him.
Whiske: I agree. The anti-fans kind of cycle through characters they feel pity for, flipping back and forth on Dee, Connie and Annie, and John. The only ones that are consistent are Elly (hated) and April (a Pattersaint)They've even done it to Anthony to some extent, in their monthly retcons (letters from the character POV, set after strip ended). He's an autistic guy trying to make do, and Liz is still kind of a self-centered bitch. Her current writer even blamed his typos on her. I wonder...does that mean they've Ron the Death Eater-ed Liz? They've really hit her hard in the past few months, moving away from "badly written" and "character derailment" to "she was a self-centered ninny who ruined her own life and lead men on!" and "Liz is probably mean to Francoise, as she was mean to April" and "Liz is actually STUPID and is an awful teacher" and so on.
fleb: So does that mean Lynn's created a Real Life Brown Note? Anthony's like the Necronomicon?

me: Is it just me, or was this whole page written by a handful of people who really hated Anthony? p.s. I hated Anthony.
Whiske: Probably. The LJ anti-foob community is a bit...enthusiastic about how much they hate certain characters, and they are aware of this page and have been for sometime.
