Alice wants Bob to do something for her. Bob says "no" again and again, but eventually he agrees. But he doesn't say "yes". Instead, he says something like, "Fix your XYZ".
Alice: "...what?"
Bob: "Well, how do you expect me to do what you asked without that?"
Alice: "You mean you'll do it?"
Bob: (mutters something)
Alice: "Thank you!"
Bob: "Thank me after you (and on and on)."
Is this a trope? I'm sure I've seen it time and time again, but all the search terms I could think up just turned up "What do you mean it's..." tropes.
