Bring Me the Head of the Machine Gun Woman, also known under its original release title of Tráiganme la cabeza de la mujer metralleta, is a 2012 Chilean action comedy that was directed by Ernesto Díaz Espinoza.

Che Longara, a powerful Chilean gangster, uses everything in his power to stop the woman that wants to kill him, a sexy mercenary known as "the Machine Gun Woman". The staggering sum of cash he offers for her head sets in motion an army of hitmen. And also, by accident, bursts in the life of naïve DJ Santiago, a common youth that will have to steel his guts against the underworld, and above all, survive the irresistible—and bloodthirsty—Machine Gun Woman.

Bring Me the Head of the Machine Gun Woman contains examples of:

  • Armed Legs: The Machine Gun Woman drives the stiletto heel of her boot through Longara's eye.
  • Ass Shove: Mecánico is killed by having a dipstick shoved up his ass.
  • Auto Erotica: Santiago and the Machine Gun Woman have sex in her jeep after he extracts a bullet from her side. Machine Gun Woman is still tied up at the time.
  • Avenging the Villain: El Chinchinero's son attempts to avenge his father by shooting the Machine Gun Woman as she leaves Longara's club.
  • Badass in Distress: The Machine Gun Woman is captured in the finale, inspiring Santiago to mount a rescue.
  • Basement-Dweller: Santiago lives with his mother. While he has a job as a DJ (which his mother disapproves of), the rest of his life seems to revolve around video games, with his ambition being to create the world's most awesome video game.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Santiago storms a building to rescue The Machine Gun Woman in the climax.
  • Boom, Headshot!: Despite lying wounded and bleeding on the ground, the Machine Gun Woman saves Santiago by firing a shot that takes off the top of Panguinao's head; sending it flying high into the air.
  • Brandishment Bluff: Santiago attempts to bluff Panguinao by jamming his airsoft pistol against the base of his skull. The bluff fails almost immediately when he accidentally fires and a hard plastic pellet hits Panguinao in the back of the neck.
  • Briefcase Full of Money: The Machine Gun Woman's employers pay her with a briefcase full of cash during the meeting at the stockyard.
  • Carnival of Killers: Gang lord Che Longana puts a bounty of 300 million pesos on the head of the Machine Gun Woman, which attracts all kinds of killers; from common street thugs to elite hit men.
  • Casual Kink: The Machine Gun Woman has no issues with having sex with Santiago while tied up.
  • Clothing Combat: Panguinao kills Shadeline with one of his spurs: attaching it to the end of his whip.
  • The Coats Are Off: Any time the Machine Gun Woman removes her fur jacket, it means that many people are about to die bloodily.
  • Combat Stilettos: The Machine Gun Woman conducts all of her bloody rampages while wearing six inch stiletto boots.
  • Crippling Castration: The Machine Gun Woman's final vengeance on Che Longara is brutal. She takes out his eyes, shoots out his kneecaps, and then fires two shots into his groin.
  • Decapitation Presentation: The Machine Gun Woman presents the heads of all of Longara's men that she has killed to her employers to prove she has killed them.
  • Demanding Their Head: The trope Invoked in the film's title. A powerful Chilean gangster does everything he can to stop a mercenary who wants to kill him by offering an army of hitmen—and, by accident, a naive DJ—a staggering sum of cash for her head.
  • Dope Slap: Flavio repeatedly dope slaps Santiago for not answering Longara's questions fast enough.
  • Duct Tape for Everything: After extracting the bullet from the Machine Gun Woman's side, Santiago uses duct tape to close the wound.
  • Embarrassing Password: The pass phrase to get into Mecánico's workshop is the deliberately homoerotic "I want you to check my oil. You will need to go very deep."
  • Enhanced Archaic Weapon: Panguinao uses a whip as one of his weapons. He kills Shadeline with a single stroke after tying his spur to the end of it.
  • Extremely Short Time Span: The events of the film takes place in less than 24 hours. Santiago is given 24 hours to bring in the Machine Gun Woman, and at no time in the ensuing chaos does night fall.
  • Eyepatch of Power: Longara's right-hand man Bracoli sports a heavy leather eyepatch.
  • Eye Scream:
    • Longara kills his right-hand man Bracoli by driving a drinking straw through his eye.
    • In the final combat, the Machine Gun Woman drives a straw through Longara's eye. She then puts the stiletto heel of her boot through his remaining eye.
  • Fanservice Extra: When Santiago first arrives at the Tango Club, Longara is surrounded by a group of topless dancers.
  • Feet-First Introduction: The Machine Gun Woman enters the story with a shot of her Combat Stilettos striding through the town square, sending pigeons scattering.
  • Gangsta Style: The Machine Gun Woman holds her automatic like this when she is interrogating Santiago. Tellingly, she never holds her guns like this when she is actually killing someone, so Santiago was probably never in any real danger from her and she was just holding the gun like this to scare him.
  • Girls with Guns: The Machine Gun Woman is called that for a very good reason. She effortlessly outshoots every other character in the film.
  • Groin Attack: The Machine Gun Woman holds Santiago's airsoft gun against his groin while interrogating him. She then hits him with the gun before going to deal with Longara's underlings. At the end of the film, she puts two shots into Longara's groin.
  • The Gunslinger: The Machine Gun Woman is a combination of The Vaporizer and The Woo: able to lay down More Dakka with her machineguns, or dance her way through a firefight without receiving a scratch.
  • Hero Stole My Bike: When the Machine Gun Woman pushes him out of her jeep and drives off, Santiago steals a sports car to chase her. The last we see is him being flagged down by the police while she drives off into the distance.
  • I Have Your Wife: Longara holds Santiago's mother hostage to force him to bring him the Machine Gun Woman in 3 hours.
  • I Just Shot Marvin in the Face: When Santiago grabs Mecánico's gun, he comes out shooting blindly. Literally, as he has his eyes shut. He somehow manages to kill the hitman el Tronador, but he also kills the hapless mechanic who was standing behind him.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: The Machine Gun Woman displays some incredible aiming skills through the course of the movie. At one point, she casually shoots someone who is behind her without turning around: she just points the gun behind her and fires without looking.
  • Instant Death Bullet: Almost any shot delivered in this movie is instantly fatal. The exceptions are the Machine Gun Woman herself, who is Made of Iron and survives being shot on multiple occasions; and Longara, whom the Machine Gun Woman deliberately shoots to cripple.
  • Instrument of Murder: El Chinchinero, one of the Carnival of Killers, is a One-Man Band who uses guns concealed in his bass drum.
  • Interplay of Sex and Violence: Santiago threatens the Machine Gun Woman with a replica pistol. She responds by performing fellatio on the gun barrel.
  • The Joy of X: The title is a riff on Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia.
  • Known Only by Their Nickname: The Machine Gun Woman. Also applies to most of the other elite hitmen, but they get far less screen time.
  • Lock-and-Load Montage: Santiago undergoes a lock-and-load montage when he decides to return to the Tango Club and rescue the Machine Gun Woman. He straps on all of the weapons he finds in the back of the Machine Gun Woman's jeep; transforming himself into a skinny version of Rambo.
  • Made of Iron: The Machine Gun Woman takes an extreme amount of damage and keeps going; extracting her final vengeance after having been near fatally wounded and then tortured.
  • Off with His Head!: The Machine Gun Woman cuts the heads off Longara's hitmen to prove that she has killed them. Santiago is horrified when he sees her take an axe to their corpses.
  • One-Man Band: El Chinchinero is a one man band who uses his bass drum as an Instrument of Murder.
  • Overlord Jr.: El Chinchinero has a son who he is training to follow in his footsteps as a Professional Killer. The son even wears a miniature version of el Chinchinero's outfit. At the end of the film, the son attempts to avenge his father by shooting the Machine Gun Woman.
  • Pants-Positive Safety: Most of the low-level thugs carry their guns stuffed down the front of their pants. The Machine Gun Woman uses holsters.
  • Pretty in Mink: The Machine Gun Woman's job pays well enough that she bought at least two different fur jackets, though she wears them both over her Stripperific outfit.
  • Professional Killer: The Machine Gun Woman is the highest paid assassin in the city (possibly in Chile). A lot of other professional killers attempt to take her out as part of the Carnival of Killers.
  • Spiteful Spit: In flashback, the Machine Gun Woman spits in Longara's face on the dance floor of the Tango Club.
  • Spy Speak: The pass phrase to get into Mecánico's workshop is "I want you to check my oil. You will need to go very deep." Mecánico apparently chose it because he thinks it sounds cool, and others feel awkward saying it. Santiago later tries to use it as Trust Password with the Machine Gun Woman.
  • Stocking Filler: The Machine Gun Woman's Stripperific outfit includes fishnets.
  • Stripperific: The Machine Gun Woman displays an incredible amount of skin for a professional assassin.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Santiago attempts to buy a gun, but is told that he can't without a licence. In the end, he has to settle for an airsoft pistol: the most realistic looking replica the clerk is allowed to sell him.
  • They Call Him "Sword": If the Machine Gun Woman has another name, no one ever uses it.
  • Trojan Prisoner: Santiago brings the Machine Gun Woman to Longara as a prisoner, intending to turn her loose so she can kill Longara. The plan fails because he forgot to tell her that Longara was holding his mother hostage.
  • We Have to Get the Bullet Out!: Santiago captures the Machine Gun Woman after she is shot by one of the hitmen after the bounty on her head. She insists that that the bullet needs to come out and talks Santiago through the procedure for removing it. Made more difficult because it is done in the front seat of her jeep, using equipment she has in the car, and she is tied up because Santiago won't untie her in case she escapes.
  • You Have Failed Me: Big Bad Longara kills his right-hand man Bracoli because of Bracoli's repeated failure to bring him the head of the Machine Gun Woman.
