It's often overlooked but another way the aforementioned remains]].Homunculi can also be killed is in a similar manner to their manga/Brotherhood counterparts as stated by Lust when trying to kill Wrath; they can come back to life as long as they have red stones so Lust says she'll kill him over again until they're all gone. Mustang actually puts this to action when killing Pride and although he had to use his weakness to paralyze him, Mustang still had to continuously immolate Pride until his red stone supply depleted for him to stay dead.[[note]]In the original Japanese version, Mustang makes a point to say: "How many times do I have to kill you... before you die?" which is omitted in the English version.[[/note]]]]

Just clearing up some misinterpretations

** In the manga and its anime adaptation ''Brotherhood'', Ed and Winry have consistent BelligerentSexualTension teasing, [[spoiler:and they end up becoming an OfficialCouple with BabiesEverAfter]]. In the 2003 anime series, it's hinted they may have had childhood crushes on each other, but time spent apart turns their relationship into more of a [[LikeBrotherAndSister brother/sister one]].
** While Roy and Riza have obvious mutual feelings in the manga and ''Brotherhood'', Mustang is [[ObliviousToLove oblivious to Riza's clear affections]] in this continuity and the pair do not end up together.

* BelligerentSexualTension: Edward and Winry can certainly give off this vibe. Given how important they clearly are to each other its either a case of this or LikeBrotherAndSister.

* BelligerentSexualTension: Though not as blatant as their manga counterparts, Edward and Winry can certainly give off this vibe. Given how important they clearly are to each other its either a case of this or LikeBrotherAndSister.vibe.

** Early episodes have obvious leftovers from the manga. For example, Edward appears to have a crush on Winry in early episodes, but they are later depicted as being LikeBrotherAndSister, though you could argue in-series it went away due to lack of being together and aging.

** EquivalentExchange is true for the process of alchemic transmutation, but not outside of it. All life ends in death, no matter what you do while you live, while the world is filled with unjust suffering and unearned privilege. All life ends in death, no matter what you do while you live, while the world is filled with unjust suffering and unearned privilege. [[spoiler:And as it turns out, even then, in alchemy things aren't as equal as some would want to believe. The energy to perform it has to come from somewhere and much of it is fueled through in the deaths of people on end lost in accordance with entropy, leading to a net negative. And the other side of the gate, suggesting there's "waste" cruel twist is that needs to be made up for just as with LifeEnergy.]]the Philosophers Stone, human lifeforce serves as the source of that energy]].

Actually, no. From a flashback we can see that Hoenheim actually looked very similar to how he looks currently. Now of course, this raises the other question of why does current Hoenheim look like past Hoenheim. Did he pick a similar looking body or does the body change to resemble the original over time?

* PlotHole: In the second-to-last episode, [[spoiler: Envy shows Ed his original form, revealing himself to be Hohenheim's and Dante's son who died centuries ago]]. Although it makes for a shocking reveal, it doesn't make sense when taking into account that [[spoiler: Hohenheim has been body-surfing for centuries, and therefore his son has no reason to look anything like his current body]].

* OurHomunculiAreDifferent: Homunculi here have a different origin than that of the manga, being [[spoiler: the artificial body created when a person attempts human transmutation for the purposes of resurrection]]. They start off as deformed, miserable beings, but after [[spoiler: Dante feeds them fragments of Philosopher's Stones]], they grown into humanoid forms with unique powers and a strong HealingFactor that makes them nearly immortal.
