FanFic Good...for Naruto fans
If you're a big Naruto fan and a lesser Street Fighter fan, this is the story for you. If you're more into Street Fighter than Naruto...not so much. Naruto and Sasuke are portrayed as the MOST AWESOME FIGHTERS EVER without even the excuse of decades of training that Shinobi of the High Seas gave us. Fan favorites like Zangief and Poison are beaten easily and unceremoniously, and even the ones that do put up a fight like Juri and Bison are eventually beaten into the ground rather anticlimactically. If you want to see Naruto and a few friends beating the crap out of most of the Street Fighter cast, then read it, because the writing is good. But if you wanted a story that was written with a deep love of Street Fighter, you're out of luck. 3 out of five.
FanFic Loved it... At first
I used to adore this story, even if I felt it made some hiccups and fell back on unnecessary cliches. I could accept, or tolerate them because there was also a lot of deconstruction. Now, though, it's become too cliched. Throwing Oni into the mix and stopping Naruto from killing Urien were both bad decisions on the author's part, and now it's sacrificed its deconstructive tone for Rule of Cool. There's also the realization that the old guys aren't as wise as they think, and that they're forcing kids to clean up their messes for them; plus their problems could go away if they actually took their secrets with them to their graves rather than pass them on.
