On this very site, GodSaveUsFromTheQueen is criticism for female villains because, apparently, \'our society has a problem with women with power.\' Never mind that if a woman is to be an effective villain she has to have some power or be able to manipulate someone with power. Considering the historic paucity of female corrupt CEOs or Dictators, powerful evil female characters are going to be disproportionately Queens.

\\\"I\\\'d say the only place in which you\\\'d have a point are homosexual villains, which tend to bring up some criticism when their sexuality is used as a scare tactic and are therefore pretty damn rare.\\\"

Evil gender non-normative men are not rare at all. I pretty much expect most villains to have a lisp or an affected way of walking or some other \\\'non-masculine\\\' behavior. What media have you been watching?

I don\'t mean to be rude here, but did this go through YKTTW? As it stands there\'s a fair few problems with this trope. It treats its subject matter far too disapprovingly (this trope is \'\'very\'\' much truth in television, but you wouldn\'t know it reading the description), the opening article is very long but doesn\'t manage to give a clear idea of what the trope is (if it\'s just \

I don\\\'t mean to be rude here, but did this go through YKTTW? As it stands there\\\'s a fair few problems with this trope. It treats its subject matter far too disapprovingly (TropesAreNotBad, and this one in particular is TruthInTelevision by its very nature), the opening article is very long but doesn\\\'t manage to give a clear idea of what the trope is (if it\\\'s just \\\"teens getting obsessed with the opposite sex\\\", that\\\'s just making believable teenage characters), the completely separate paragraphs for girls and boys muddy the water when it would work perfectly well with one description talking about teenagers in general, the style and the RealLife section I deleted make it look like its someone\\\'s WriterOnBoard issue...etcetera. This could be a workable trope, but it needs a bit of WikiMagic before it gets there.
