Although Tang Sanzang did not mind seeing Liu Hong (a human villain in the novel) being kill as he separated him, but yet he cannot bear to any human not to be killed evening if they are completely monstrous so there should be some mention of Tang Sanzang being a hypocrite in this story in addition that he wants his disciples to spare humans who try to kill him, but is okay with them killing monsters who try to kill him although there should be mention that in some adaptations of the Journey to the West that Tang Sanzang does convince his disciples to spare monsters who try to kill him.

Sun Wukong is not a god. Gods are personifications or controller certain aspects of the universe such as the sun, moon, fire, wind, water, thunder, earth, health, plague, creation, death, etc. although I agree he was a jerk and they are also worshipped and giving thanks to the people according to what they personify. So why is he listed as a Jerk--- God. Also the Buddha disciples Anada and Kaysapa are not gods either. Although some Chinese gods themselves would fit into the category as they were the reason why General Juanlian/Sha Wujing became a man eating monster although Marshal Tianpeng/Zhu Bajie punishment was well deserved. The gods do not seem to be any better than Wukong himself and some of them are worse if you look at other Chinese myths. Although I think these incidents should be added to the \\\'Chinese Mythology\\\' trope page seening as they do not happen in the Journey to the West. The Jade Emperor killed his sister whom was Erlang Shen mother for marrying a mortal as was as her mortal lover, and in the Cowherd and Weaver Girl myth he or either his wife the Heavenly Matriarch depending on the version of the myth separated the their daugher from her mortal lover although they later decided to reunited them. Also since the Jade Emperor is never punished for killing his sister and brother-in-law that would make him a Karma Houdini. There was another Chinese Myth where the Black Pearl Dragon, the Yellow Pearl Dragon, the Long Dragon, and the Pearl Dragon wanted to help a village of people who was suffering for a drought and they went to ask the Jade Emperor to help stop the flood, but the Jade Emperor lied to him and said that he would do it and not telling them the reason of the drought so the Dragon took matters into their own hands and decide to stop the drought themselves and the Jade Emperor punished them for it and imprison them in a rock, but they broke free the Heilongjiang River, Huang He River Long Zhujiang River, and the Yangtze River and returned to the ocean.
