Wukong, Bajie, and Wujing could be consider Karma Houdinis themselves when they kill Yellow Robe Monster\'s children as the children did not do anything to them and Wukong just orders Bajie and Wujing to kill them and they do not get punish for it. Sun Wukong is not a god. Gods are personifications or controller certain aspects of the universe such as the sun, moon, fire, wind, water, thunder, earth, health, plague, creation, death, etc. and they are also worshipped and giving thanks to the people according to what they personify. So why is he listed as a Jerk--- God although I agree he is a jerk, but could just be listed as just a Jerk--- rather than a Jerk--- God. Also the Buddha disciples Anada and Kaysapa are not gods either. Although some Chinese gods themselves would fit into the category as they were the reason why General Juanlian/Sha Wujing became a man eating monster although Marshal Tianpeng/Zhu Bajie punishment was well deserved. Also you cannot tell me that the gods did not went to far by attempting to execute Sun Wukong and did actually populaces on Mount Huaguo as they simply could have imprisoned Wukong and his subjects for rebelling against them at first now if Wukong was truly evil like the fox spirit that possessed Daji in the Classic novel Fengshen Bang or the villain protagonists whom became gradually evil overtime in another Classic Chinese novel \'The Sorcerer Revolt that would have been a different story.

Although I think these incidents should be added to the \'Chinese Mythology\' trope page seening as they do not happen in the Journey to the West. Erlang Shen lockes his sister in San Shengmu in Mount Hua in the Magical Lotus Lantern myth. The Jade Emperor forbids any marriages between immortal and mortal. The Jade Emperor killed his sister whom was Erlang Shen mother for marrying a mortal as was as her mortal lover, and in the Cowherd and Weaver Girl myth he or either his wife the Heavenly Matriarch depending on the version of the myth separated the the Weavier Girl from her mortal lover although they took pity on her Weavier Girl sadness and later decided to have them meet up on seventh day of the seven month each year. Also since the Jade Emperor is never punished for killing his sister and brother-in-law that would make him a Karma Houdini. There was another Chinese Myth where the Black Pearl Dragon, the Yellow Pearl Dragon, the Long Dragon, and the Pearl Dragon wanted to help a village of people who was suffering for a drought and they went to ask the Jade Emperor to help stop the flood, but the Jade Emperor lied to him and said that he would do it and not telling them the reason of the drought so the Dragon took matters into their own hands and decide to stop the drought themselves and the Jade Emperor punished them for it and imprison them in a rock, but they broke free the Heilongjiang River, Huang He River Long Zhujiang River, and the Yangtze River and returned to the ocean. The water god Gong Gong caused people to suffer floods just because he lost to the his father the fire god Zhu Rong, but was stopped by the creation and mother goddess Nuwa.

I disagree with who ever posted that Wukong becomes a nicer guy as the story progesses as the story teaching him not to kill humans even if they are completely monstrous, but it does not teach him the value the life of monster including his fellow monkeys. Although Tang Sanzang did not mind seeing Liu Hong (a human villain in the novel) being kill as he separated him, but yet he cannot bear to any human not to be killed evening if they are completely monstrous.

Erlang Shen lockes his sister in San Shengmu in Mount Hua in the Magical Lotus Lantern myth. The Jade Emperor forbids any marriages between immortal and mortal. The Jade Emperor killed his sister whom was Erlang Shen mother for marrying a mortal as was as her mortal lover, and in the Cowherd and Weaver Girl myth he or either his wife the Heavenly Matriarch depending on the version of the myth separated the their daugher from her mortal lover although they later decided to reunited them.

Wukong, Bajie, and Wujing could be consider Karma Houdinis themselves when they kill Yellow Robe Monster\\\'s children as the children did not do anything to them and Wukong just orders Bajie and Wujing to kill them and they do not get punish for it.

Sun Wukong is not a god. Gods are personifications that control certain aspects of the universe although I agree he was a jerk. So why is he listed as Jerk--- God. The gods do not seem to be any better than Wukong himself and some of them are worse if you look at other Chinese myths. Although I think these incidents should be added to the \\\'Chinese Mythology\\\' trope page seening as they do not happen in the Journey to the West.
