\\\"Offstage Villainy doesn\\\'t count; the story has to show the actions, not imply them.\\\"

There are reasons for Bioware not explicitly showing the crimes onscreen though. Implying his crimes through dialogue with those most deeply affected by them, allows the audience to feel the horror of his actions while keeping a certain degree of \\\"tastefulness\\\" to the story. Imagine what would\\\'ve happen if they had just shown Ronald graphically raping women onscreen! Remember how much controversy there was because of the PG-13 sex scene in the first game?! There was no way they were going to go into anymore detail after that fiasco! Combine this with the fact that showing onscreen rape would\\\'ve immediately had the game\\\'s rating changed from Mature to Adults Only (the equivalent of NC-17), the games sales would\\\'ve taken a huge hit because they weren\\\'t accessible to a wider audience! It\\\'s not like ASongofIceandFire where anyone can buy the book detailing graphic rape because it has no rating (at least I assume this because I bought some pretty disturbing books as a kid and noone said \\\"boo\\\" to me). Games and movies have to tread lightly. In any event, Bioware seems clear in wanting the audience to think Taylor was a monster seeing as his crimes are among the worst, everyone treats him like he\\\'s filth, and there\\\'s no excuse for any of it beyond, because I enjoyed it and because I could get away with it.
