Hello (insert name here) you have been selected to help troubleshoot an error an error refusal will result in (error security clearance not high enough) and you will get a dismissal and a subsequent loss of clearance. to help you there will be weapons provided they are (error security clearance not high enough) and should always be used with proper (removed for possible mutant propaganda). any details will be provided on request (security check now in progress)

Now for the important stuff.

So I was thinking of making a paranoia roleplay. Fun stuff but I dont know how well it will fly. So please comment here and tell me if you will participate. okay enough people are here[barely] anybody who wants to join please post below and of course it will be in zap format till someone complains

Never played an RPG before, you mind giving me a try?

Be warned, Paranoia isn't really a good RPG for beginners — the level of backstabbing and betrayal is fairly unique to the game. You might end up learning habits that get you shunned from other games...

Well, of course you can trust me, I have such a friendly and sincere smile!

Why, just to show you how nice I am, I'm going to trust you with this super-spiffy new Jumbo Espresso Maker I got from R&D, just the thing for stimulating an entire team of Troubleshooters out on the field. It's a very valuable prototype that I'm supposed to test, but I'll gladly let you get the promotion-worthy credit for doing so.

Now, uh, if you'll excuse me, I have to go check on my laundry over at EUR Sector. Should be back in a few (37,476) minutes or so. Don't mind the beeping noise from the espresso maker, that just means it's almost ready to... serve coffee, yeah...

In all seriousness, while I haven't touched a non-console RPG in my life, Paranoia seems to be a really fun and interesting concept.

I ran a not very serious game of Paranoia once (as in, I didn't even actually have the sourcebooks) and I've wanted to play for real ever since.

If it is possible, add me in when convenient.

Would it still be possible to join? I love paranoia, and have never been able to find a good game.

I would love to give this game a try, but I don't have the rulebooks or anything to get me started. It's hard to get hold of such privileged information when you're stuck permanently at Infrared clearance (broke). And of course, only mutants and commies pirate gaming books.

The game (on this forum) seems to have died, actually.

What is Paranoria

The title of this was a typo, the game is called Paranoia. It's a tabletop RPG where the player lives in an enclosed Orwellian city governed by a malfunctioning computer, and has to survive by backstabbing their party members.
