I always thought it would be cool if you could figure out a way to magically power electronic devices in the Potterverse so they'd work in Hogwarts. However, it just....even a summary breaks my brain.

Yes you are, Tzetze.

You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat!

I only skimmed through that. Electronics don't work in there. It's a rule that I've never fully understood but there are rules to this stuff. You can't just break it all willy nilly.

Goggle Fox: Sure electricity doesn't work, but if they could repalce the electricity with magic in devices originally meant to run on electricity....I've thought about this, though, and Tara hasn't.

But see, it could be done! The way magic is used in the Potterverse....I even figured how you'd justify the discovery.

@ Katrika: IIRC Word of God says it can be done, but wizards tend to be too ignorant of Muggle technology to do it. Hence Mr. Weasley's flying Ford Anglia.

But, if there was a Muggleborn who had natural skill at electronics or was the kid of an engineer/mechanic/electronic specialist....Easy as pie! You just have to give the right backgorund to someone who likes to tinker with both electronics and magic.

Well yes, but Tara was hardly thinking about that.

I know, but I just had to say...eeeee, I want to write that now! But I'd end up writing a Mary Sue.

Anyway, this is really good, Wicked.

I can believe it could be done, but it wasn't done here. So I can't forgive... not you, not Wicked, the thing Wicked was reading.

My Immortal is an exercise in She Just Didn't Care.

INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.

Exactly. Expecially since, with a little care, the glareing error could fit in to the Potterverse.

I'm of the opinion that most of this "OMG HORRIBLE" fanfiction is written by trolls, actually. It kind of saddens me.

I don't know. I could easily see this being a genuine 'I didn't care' fic.

No, I mean, quantity, not quality. She's probably a troll.

I think They Just Didn't Care still applies, as far as in-universe laws are.

INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.

Same here, as cynical as I am, I don't think any human being is capable of producing something like THIS without trying to troll.

Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!
