Odd that it happened so close to XKCD doing its own Minecraft joke, even though the game has been a thing in the public consciousness for a while now.

I got into this few days ago and found it strangely appealing, more than any other webcomics I tried.

I wonder if the current events (starting here) are a sign of Hillary (IIRC on the name) actually getting less bitchy, or if it's just part of a ploy to further poke at Kat.

Tangentially, I wouldn't have thought Hillary to be a gamer. Of course, I wouldn't have expected this, either.

I'm not sure I like Pip without the glasses.

Who knows? I'm hoping for character development personally, but I really doubt that she'll keep going with Pip no matter what happens.

Hmm. This makes me suspect, from how she's looking up at Kat instead of her "reeeeally good friend" for the smooch, that it's for trolling purposes.

Mind you, I'm somewhat less than fond of Real Life Rich Bitches, so it may just be me reading things into the art that weren't intended. Time will tell, I guess. (She may not be "rich" now, but the attitude isn't necessarily tied to the bank statement.)

I'm not sure it's a case of her doing it intentionally as much as Pip being exceptionally vulnerable to that sort of thing.

Not to cast aspersions on anyone in the profession, but it is one that is built from using a person's sexual attractiveness to sell product. I find it unlikely that she doesn't realize what she's doing.

I would've thought that he'd start realizing here that he's not actually getting any nookie from not having any of the usual after-effects (stickiness in particular, sex isn't exactly a clean activity when done even remotely close to "right"), but I guess this is a good alternative, assuming Pip doesn't fluff it and just dismiss the sledgehammer to the face (or somewhat lower given the bedroom stuff, I guess ).

She's putting the effort into more than I thought she was, though. I thought she was just skating out of work, I didn't think about the networking to dump the job angle.

Somehow, not surprising.

I don't think of Pip as being particularly stupid (narrowly focused and often unobservant, yes, but not stupid), but it's times like this strip that makes me want to reconsider that assessment.

Selectively ignorant, very amazingly selectively ignorant.

I take back that "not stupid" judgement. I mean, I know some times guys can do dumb things when they're thinking with their smaller head, but the photos plus her having the "date rape" drug should be enough to make him at least consider that she may be playing him along.
