What Shima means is that that image does not include any reference to the fact that D&D is an account of a roleplaying session. The roleplaying aspect is a major part of the comic, and that image doesn't include it.
If we really wanted to, couldn't we email the author and ask him which strip he would like to use? I think that's what we did for the XKCD page.

Reaction Image RepositoryThat is exactly what I meant.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. Dick"...that image does not include any reference to the fact that D&D is an account of a roleplaying session..."
Okay. You may note that I anticipated that meaning, and addressed it. I disagree that this objection is fatal *, but, let's pretend I don't have an overwhelmingly good point: Would no image be better? Or what?
"...couldn't we email the author and ask him which strip he would like to use?"
Good idea, sent an email.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.A better image would be better. There are a large number of strips. That particular one is just not the best example. That said, let's wait for a reply on the e-mail.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickAnother good strip imo, but, I don't know which part would be cropped out, the idea is irreducibly complex I think: 1... Last panel only? But it loses a lot that way.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Hmmm. What would I prefer? I don't really mind - I'll leave that up to you folks. But some suggestions: First panel of this strip. Last two panels of this strip. First panel of this strip. Last three panels of this strip (could be reformatted vertically).

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.That one's for the D&D page, right? I got lost.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.That one is perfect for Darths And Droids.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickYup, D&D. By the way, Dmmaus is the perpetrator of D&D.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI swapped the pages. Thank you, Dmmaus. I think we're done here then.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.
"It's just a generic Star Wars spoof. It's not Darths And Droids."
It is not a generic Star Wars spoof. It is exactly Darths And Droids.
Do you honestly disagree? It seems like you are being contrary for its own sake.
I think what you are saying is that it's key that the Star Wars characters are being played by tabletop roleplayers. I don't think so. It's important, sure, but so is the fact that the crazy prequel events are way better explained by an improv group flying by the seat of its pants, than by it being a carefully plotted story. Some stuff doesn't make good sense because it's made up on the spot (e.g. Jar Jar Binks looks silly and has a silly name because a little girl came up with the idea). The plot of the "game" is a little different than the plot of the movies. It has a particular tone. And other stuff. I don't know if a single D&D strip or group of panels can represent all the critical aspects of what makes D&D D&D. That would be awesome, though... got one?
Also, the "Jar Jar, you're a genius." strip is not the most famous D&D strip. It exemplifies something the real characters would never say. It is the strip's most iconic single line (so far, it is still in progress). That would make a good page quote.
