^ Since we seem to be agreeing on point 2, I'll only counter-answer to your reply on point 1: You got the second subtype all wrong.

"I have only as many maids as I need, but they all can do other cool things".

A Type 2 Maid Corps technically does have an "excessive" number of maids, but only when you use the very narrow definition of "domestic worker"; using the broader "female servant" definition, however, the Type 2 Maid Corps technically has no excess number of members. In other words, a Type 2 Maid Corps has only as many "maids" that it needs for domestic work, and only as many as it needs for each and every "non-domestic work department" that it has (intel, technology, paramilitary, MIB, et cetera).

In any case, both subtypes (as well as the third subtype) share a fourth implicit trait that I admit to have neglected to mention to before: The Maid Corps acts as a much more unified organization than a Real Life group of maids operating within a single household do (hence naming it "corps" - "a body of people united by a common purpose"); I wouldn't be surpised if we discover that practically all examples of Maid Corps that recieved adequate Character Development exhibit (at least implicitly) Nakamaesque camaraderie within their group (and of course, their employer).
