Calling on Gods: To Make a World

So I have a really neat idea, or at least I think it is, and I want to see what you guys think about it.

What if we played a roleplaying game where all of you guys- as in, the forum- were a God?

I don't mean that each of you were individual gods. No, this wouldn't be a normal RP thread; rather, it would be more like 4chan's /tg/ board and its famed quest threads.

All of you, together, would be the Nameless God, a being of many faces, many names, but one purpose and one power. You would not be a True God, however, but a God Awaiting, with a task to complete before ascending to true divinity and understanding of all the universe.

You will be charged by That Which Is, a True God, with creating a world and managing it. There is an endgoal, but That Which Is refuses to tell you what it is, saying you have to figure it out yourself.

So to work you would go, Nameless God. To do this, everyone who posts on the thread will make suggestions on the RP thread, either making new ones or supporting the suggestions of others.

I will take the suggestions that garner the most support among the various voices within the Nameless God and that suggestion becomes "canon" as the Nameless God works its will on the planet. In event of a tie, both will become true, however contradictory.

The Nameless God, as fitting for a God Awaiting, is not omnipotent nor omniscient. It will instead be bound by ten rules.

The fun part? I'm only going to tell you one from the start. I will reveal each of the ten rules if you guys are in danger of violating one.

I'll be taking on the role of That Which Is, of course, since I'm basically the GM. Meanwhile, you laddies, ladettes, and other gentlepeople of all persuasions will be busy trying to figure out what you're next move is.

Will it be a world of deserts? Ice? Water, water everywhere, but is there a drop to drink? Or will it be a planet-wide Mordor?

And this is your first decision. Later decisions will involve things like whether magic will exist or not.

Just one- if the Nameless God is a being of many names and faces, does that mean that we, basically, are just playing different facets of... hir? With names and everything?

@ Kuiper: Yes. Each of the many "parts" of the Nameless God have their own names, histories, etc.; in many ways, the Nameless God is merely an amalgation of many Gods Awaiting who weren't quite enough to make True God on their own merits.

In fact, that's what being the Nameless God is, really; it's the final trial for many different Gods Awaiting. The main idea is that the Gods who are part of the Nameless God have only one more shot to reach true divinity; fail this test, and the various gods within the Nameless God are stuck being demigods for all eternity.

You guys pass or fail, sink or swim, together.

Making a RPG Discussion Thread and posting the first thread now! Note that I won't be able to reply until late tomorrow night, but that since the first question is a ridiculously huge doozy, this is a good thing.

Remember- you guys discuss it among yourselves, and I will be the one to put the deific will that gets the most votes into action! "In-character" discussion, as ever, goes into the main thread, while the Discussion thread will be for out of character thoughts, interactions, deal-making, etc.

The main thread will be called "Calling on the Nameless God". The Discussion thread will be entitled "Calling on Discussion: The Nameless God".
