I sign up as Assassin...again.
This sounds good, can I be a caster?
You want to be Servant Caster?
Alright I'll hold it up while you create your character.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.Sounds cool. I wouldn't mind joining, but I'm not sure what I'd play. Either a master or...I don't know, the Servant Rider. I'm probably not supposed to mention my Servant's true identity, even though I think they'd be pretty cool, right?
Either Servant Rider or Master of Rider, I'll PM more, I guess.

[[tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=12919183980B30760200 Liveblog of]] John Carter Of MarsAww, Church Overseer is already taken...can you hold the spot for Master of Lancer for me?
BTW, do you allow several characters? I'd like Elizabeth Jouvin to make an appearance.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!Sure Lemurian, Master of Lancer is now officially taken.
And yes, I do allow multiple characters as long as you can handle them.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.Sign me up possibly for Servant saber. I will be able to give you the stats in a few weeks, once this semester ends. I have my servant picked out already.
Rider - Napoleon Bonaparte?
- Grande Armee - Army of the First Empire
- Effect: See Rider - Alexander's Reality Marble. Probably going to be fairly similar.
- Hundred Days - Last Great Hurrah
- Named for the period of time spanning his return from his exile at Elba to his final defeat after the Battle of Waterloo.
- Effect: This Noble Phantasm may be activated by the Master of Rider at any point after Servant Rider has been defeated. This Noble Phantasm returns Servant Rider to the field at full strength but only for the period of one day. This Noble Phantasm may not be activated more than once per Grail War.
Not that I'm saying I'm playing for sure. I just had an idea for a Noble Phantasm.

My troper wall's now my troper page, yay!Goldurnit, all you tropers need to stop throwing up worthwhile ideas for time sinks.
Sign me up for Berserker's master, good sir. (Just don't ask me for details while I'm On A Boat for the next two days...)

Alright, no God Modding. Fine. But how will we resolve combat situations? If it ends up like the last game's "X attacks Y with no resolution", then I really don't see the point of the combat in the first place.
EDIT: Also, the Grammar Nazi in me is seeing "Singup". So, Holy Karaoke War?

My troper wall's now my troper page, yay!Yes Catch The Sun it will be based on X attacks Y, as this is a freeform RPG, there is no other way to resolve combat situations.
That means that all players need to make a compromise in order for this to work. We have stats to know what your characters strenghts and weaknessess are, and it is up to the player to play those as best as he or she is able.
The whole basis of this sistem is trust and responsability. You need to accept some blows in order to be able to give out some of your own and accept when things are goig to hell. All players should try to win, yes, but that's not the most important part of this game. What matters the most is to make it as enjoyable as possible and have as much fun as you can while it lasts.
And about the name of the page, yeah now I see it, epic fail on my part. Oh well what can I do about it? Is there someone I can PM to fix it?
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.Name: Thomas Fournier
Age: 36
Description: Thomas is a tall and slim Frenchman who has been living and travelling in Britain for several years, studying magic history. Out of luck, he found himself in the area studying druidic rituals when the invitations started arriving and jumped at the chance of becoming the next master of the Holy Grail. He has short black hair and clear grey eyes. He dresses in functional clothing and he always wears the Fournier family symbol, a red lance, in a chain around his neck. He still has a faint French accent.

Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia! No, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that if it's going to give us pointless battles, then that fight really shouldn't have happened in the first place.
And, no. The typo gave me an idea. Let's see. Seven Managers summoning Seven Idols, competing for the coveted prize of the Holy Grammy, in a single-elimination tournament.
That could still work. And we could add in an Avenger, just because eight is more manageable in a tournament situation than seven. Also, it makes it easier for Servants to interact. And it eliminates meaningless battles. Thoughts?

My troper wall's now my troper page, yay!8 battlers...Tournament style battles...is this an Arcade Machine?
Hey, took a sort of jokey premise and stretched it out a little. I still think there are problems that really do need to be fixed, especially since those sheets are placed in an out-of-the-way place and half the players last time didn't even make one. Oh, well.
My troper wall's now my troper page, yay!I never said it was a bad Idea...
Well that sounds like a good idea for a parody, and a hilarious one at that.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.'nother FSN? ...
A thought: Ever open to the idea of letting George S. Patton be a Servant?
Not sure of his class, though. Rider? Or maybe Berserker? (a bit edgy on this. Him wanting to attack the Soviet Union is the only lead I have.) Saber? (Patton Saber.)
edited 6th Dec '09 4:27:42 AM by catch_the_sun
My troper wall's now my troper page, yay!He could probably fit into Rider or Saber, but Killersquid is already Saber, so I could pull off Rider Patton if daltar lets me.
Or maybe he could fit into Archer? Apparently, he was a pretty good shot.
Never mind. I really need to stop jumping the gun on this.

My troper wall's now my troper page, yay!The thing is though I think according to Nasu's rules Servants can't be summoned if they have current modern technology (in this case, guns and tanks). Like if it was lasers time, gunslingers could be summoned, but not laser users.
But I'm not positive on that, and it's not like we really care.
Sorry gadeel but Dr Rockopolis already said he wanted to play as Rider. Still he still hasn't decided on whenever he will use his idea of Rider or if he should make a Master, so if in the end he prefers to make a Master then you can take the role of Rider.
Of course Catch The Sun also gave an idea for Rider, so he also has bigger claim should he want to take it in the end.
And since the Grail takes heroes from all ages including the future I don't see why we can't have Servants with guns. It wouldn't be my preference but still I'll allow it.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.Apparently, it's more to do with their deeds and how a present-day person's deeds may no longer be perceived as unique, a requirement for being recognised as a Heroic Spirit in the first place.
So, I would guess that if the person can be presented as a unique and well-known enough being, then he/she could be included. Adolf Hitler comes to mind. Not to sure about Che Guevara.
It is almost impossible for someone of the present era to become a Heroic Spirit, for the great events of the past are now everyday occurrences. In an age when the destruction of the planet can be prevented all the time by simply preserving the Amazon forest from being plundered by industries, saving the world is not a big deal. Additionally, because modern armaments are widespread and gives instant power to anyone who wields them, it is hard for a hero who uses today’s firearms to be recognized as a unique being.

Fate Crimson Dream
On this unremarkable city, a miracle is about happen
In the hidden world of Magic dark tidings are rising, the great house of the Einzberg family has been raided and many powerful sorcerers have been found death.
And now on the English city of Weirhollow the unexpected has happened.
A challenge has been thrown to mages from all over the world as the ritual known as the Holy Grail War has been casted.
A contest in which mages known as Masters make their claim to enter the tournament by the way of summoning a Servant, a legendary figure from the Throne of Heroes to fight in their stead. The last Master to survive the War with his Servant shall be awarded the prize of the Holy Grail rumored to be able to grant one single wish.
If you deem yourself worthy to possess the Holy Grail and are willing to risk your life in the struggle then come to Weirhollow and whisper your summons. By a trial of Magic and Steel you shall be tested and in the end only one may receive the greatest of all blessings.
This letter has been sent far and wide, the sender is unknown but the promise of Grail is more than enought to spark the interest of the contenders and make them cast aside their suspicions.
Weirhollow is the stage to this play, a little city surrounded by tall mountains where few mages dwell, nobody knows why this place is the one chosen, the only thing certain is that before it all ends it's long peace shall come to an end.
