Demon Hunters: After Dark

sure, Katakochi High School is a normal school. Normal kids, normal teachers, and the most normal of Yoma/Youkai ravaging things after dark trying to find the ancient power sealed within the very soil of the school...wait...what!? So, some students have discovered that they have some unique abilities brought out by the power in the school, and so, every night, students go out to destroy the Yoma.

The leader of these Hunters is a rather callous young man named Soranosuke Fujihara. The younger students who show signs of abilities are informed as young as twelve and brought into the conflict against lesser Yoma.

Recently, though, an odd teacher has moved in, followed by even stranger behavior at night and even during the day by the Yoma. Someone is controlling these creatures...and someone is manipulating the very nature of the conflict itself.

• Name: Hanajima Ryouko
• Age: 16
• Appearance: Long black hair in the Hime Cut style, tall and graceful with a solemn and serious face. Wears the traditional miko outfit in most of her time after school.
• Personality: Distant and cold to most people, she's a person that is extremelly focused on her goal of attaining a higher state of being. She remains as pure as she's able, meditates on her place in the world and lives her life as strightly as possible.
• Bio: Born as the daughter of an specially devout Shinto priest she has being put on the road to self-improvement since a very young age. From her earliest memories she has been put to train and study in order to strenghten her spirit.
• Powers: Ryoukou has the power of purification, her very prescense drives away bad energies. To hunt demons she uses a katana which she imbues with her powers to strike and exorcise demonic influences.

I'm interested and I'll probably have something up but I tend to ignore and/or avoid anything where I'm railroaded into being Japanese which is actually more common than you'd think.

You do not have to be Japanese. You could be like a transfer student or a traveler. I am very flexible.

• Age: 16
• Appearance◊ only the kilt is ankle length.
• Personality: A calm and collected individual who is obsessed with travel and loves to relax and be chill. Morty is a friendly person but he doesn't really do much unless it really counts. He smiles a lot and very optimistic.
• Bio: An Irish lad whose parents's work makes them travel a lot so he never had time for friends.
• Powers: Invisibility, 30 second intangibility, flight, and a "chill aura", an atmosphere he can emit from his body that makes everything within it frosty and freezy, he can even redirect it as freeze rays.
• Tropes: Gadgeteer Genius, Brilliant, but Lazy, The Slacker, Our Ghosts Are Different, Combo Platter Powers, An Ice Person, Ordinary High-School Student, Invisibility, Intangible Man, Flight, and Book Dumb.

• Appearance: Short, bushy brown hair, grey eyes. Quite pale.
• Personality: May seem a bit cold at first, but nice once people get to know her. Can't stand any nonsense.
• Bio: Had a basic British upper class upbringing. Was zapped by lightening at 13, giving her electricity powers, along with teleportation.
• Powers: Electricity, teleportation.
• Tropes: Shock and Awe, Deadpan Snarker, Stiff Upper Lip, Spot Of Tea, Badass Bookworm.

• Age: 16
• Appearance: Long (dyed) bright red hair (usually pulled back in a ponytail), brown eyes, all of her clothing is either black, white or red
• Personality: Cheery, upbeat, and loud. Is kind to just about everyone, even if she sees them as sub-human garbage. Tries to hide her apathy and skewed set of morals under her warm smile. Enjoys violence and gore much more than she lets on. Carries a knife with her at all times.
• Bio: Grew up with her grandfather, a quiet, stoic man who never had the time for her. She never knew her parents, and never really cared to. Was never involved in her family, choosing to insert herself into the business of everyone around her, instead.
• Powers: Control over fire, superhuman speed
• Tropes: Playing with Fire, Stepford Smiler, Heroic Sociopath, Emotionless Girl (tries not to show it), Knife Nut, Bitch in Sheep's Clothing

Name: Ichiro "Blanker" Sasaki (using western naming order).

Age: 16

Appearance: Tall and thin. His eyes are constantly blindfolded, and he wears headphones playing loud music at high volume. He tends to wear fairly casual clothes most of the time.

Bio: Blanker comes from a fairly normal upbringing. Why exactly his parents decided to enrol him in a school that frequently comes under attack by demons is not really his problem, although it does sometimes bother him.

Personality: He is a very cheerful, happy person. He is stubborn and spends most of his time challenging what everyone else says. He is, however, slightly different, and will occasionally parrot what everyone around him says, or start laughing for no reason.

Powers: Blanker is connected to everyone around him. He can sense everything that the people around him can see, and can 'hear' people's thoughts and emotions. He also is connected biologically: if he hangs around near healthy people, his body will slowly repair itself, but he will 'catch' other people's diseases, even if they cannot be transmitted, if he spends to long near sick people, which he avoids like the plague. This will, however, begin to heal them, as their bodies reach a sort of equilibrium. He wears his blindfold and earphones to block out his own senses, otherwise it causes him extreme pain, knocks him out, confuses him completely, or causes other people's thoughts to override his own.

Tropes: Laughing Mad, Combat Clairvoyance (sort of. It's not seeing into the future, but rather knowing what his opponents are going to do via his telepathy), The Empath, Telepathy, Empathic Healer, A Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Read, Cloud Cuckoo Lander, Boisterous Bruiser, I Am Legion (when his thought get overridden by everyone else's).
