I would merge them to the first page and expand to include other languages' Romanization conventions, such as Chinese pinyin (insofar as it can be summed up in a few paragraphs), perhaps Russian and anything else likely to be used on the wiki. Or split with a Romanization index page and pages for each language.

That would be huge and unwieldy. It's unlikely anyone would be looking for Romaji and Pinyin rules in the same place, much less Russian or the phonetic hell-pits that are Gaelic and Polish. Different languages need separate pages, but these two can be merged.

An index is a good idea, if we have people knowledgeable enough to fill it.

We probably need a Main UsefulNotes.Romanization And Transliteration page, and separate pages for the various different languages that are subject to it. A page covering both Arabic Transliteration and Japanese Romanization would be freaking huge.
