I got a (used) wireless headset! Bought from someone on eBay several days ago and picked it up today. It is technically a gaming headset, which means that the manual explains how to use it with a PlayStation 4 or 5 - it paired with my not-so-gaming Linux notebook just fine - and that the sound quality for listening is higher than the microphone quality. But I think it's good enough for my use cases, which are mainly
- making discord calls without being tethered to my notebook, talking to people while doing household chores
- recording my own bedtime stories / ASMR tracks / pure audio versions of the kind of YouTube videos that I like to fall asleep to
So, overall, good purchase.
