^^That one is perfect.

I think we're all good with that one.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickYes. We can add it to the crowner when we make it.
I have a message from another time...I have no problem with a non-robot image, myself. I prefer it over most of my own, I must admit. But the trope description acknowledges that it's a 'staple of the Super Robot genre', before it even describes the trope. * Super Robots are, arguably, the most recognized use of the trope, and TTGL is a famous example among those. While opinions on the show vary, one must admit it contains a lot of drills, images of which proliferate the internet.
There are a large number of images featuring drill-wielding robots in general, as this very thread has demonstrated. I also happen to own a Gurren Lagann DVD, so it was easy enough for me to find images of it, not to mention the countless images one can find in an image search.
I like the newest one. It's clear, unlike most of the submitted images, and it can be inferred to be a weapon. On the other hand, we have action shots of other drills, making it explicitly clear that they are weapons, unlike this one, which just might be a tunneling implement.
It's also a tad obscure, to the point where searching for 'Homura Akai' brings up the This Is a Drill article on the first page. I, personally, have no problem with this at all. Other people might.
Let the crowner, flawed as it is, decide.

Robots are also the worst at demonstrating the trope though as they're hard to figure out if they're actually weapons or just for decoration, or if they're mining equipment. None of the robot pictures that have been shown so far clearly demonstrate the trope.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickYou could turn that around say the same thing about the girl with the drill-arm. It looks like she's a fan wearing a replica for a costume.
You know, decoration.
I have a message from another time...Part of the reason why I like the blue robot stabbing his drill at the viewer.
^^ It's true Homura is an Otaku Surrogate mimicing the heroes of her favourite shows (as I described recently in the Show Within a Show entry), but you have to know the Tokimeki Memorial franchise, and particulary Tokimeki Memorial 2, runs a lot on the Rule of Funny; so, with the wacky atmosphere this game has (which inspired Ken Akamatsu for his manga Love Hina), it's not uncommon to see things such as this or this.
Thus, the drill-arm she has is a real one and not a mere decoration. I unfortunately haven't played her storyline in the main game yet and thus haven't seen all of her Events, but this video of the Puzzle Dama spin-off game should be proof enough.
Man, I need to do some Entry Pimping on that character, she's a fountain of tropes.

"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeWhat I think Enlong means is that it looks like it's a decoration, due to how it's not shown in action. This is the main problem people have with most of these, actually: they don't look enough like weapons.
Also: Fan Myopia. Pretty much everyone here has it.
EDIT: Pardon the meme, but...◊

Sorry, I didn't want to pass as a Fanboy. Actually, to tell you the truth, I feel the second Megaman picture (the red robot in the cool pose) may be the best picture (or at the very least, the least likely to get objections) of the bunch. Just wanted to give some infos about the pictures I posted, since, as you correctly said earlier, the Tokimemo franchise may be very known in Japan, but in the West, it's quite obscure.
That said, I was stupid, since my explanations weren't even needed: the choice of a picture doesn't depend on the work's context, but on what the picture shows and represent itself.
EDIT : Dunno myself, it's the first time I'm seriously participating to a Wiki Repair topic. Can a mod help attaching the crowner, please ?

"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeSorry for the double post, but Drillman's picture lead to a 404.
"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeThe crowner uses this URL◊.
"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeRight, fixed it.
Did not even know the crowner had been made. This thread doesn't have the alert that usually shows up.
I have a message from another time...Crowner is now hooked. Sorry about that.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Gee, thanks. ...That's...that's a lot of votes. And in unexpected ways.
Bump.
So it looks like that so far, Drillman is largely winning. Just a question, how long a crowner can stay active until a winning picture is chosen?
"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori Yae^Until the votes slow down, pretty much.
Reaction Image RepositoryOkay, Drillman has a pretty good lead. Anybody have any objections to putting it up?
Reaction Image RepositoryGo ahead.
Ok, I put it up. Probably needs a better caption, though.
Reaction Image Repository"I am the drill!"
I have a message from another time...I fixed the coding for the pic comments and right-aligned it since the page starts with quotes.
Is it bad that I kinda want the caption to say, "Oh, screw you!"
