Both of these pictures are looking pretty bad. The first one is just a face with nothing to indicate how this guy is supposed to be a religious minister; the second conveys murderous content (which is pretty damn sinister) but still doesn't do much to convey religious character context.
How about this◊? Priest's dog-collar, plus ominous shadowy-ness.
I am a fan of Tim Curry's The Cardinal in The Three Musketeers but man I cant find a good picture of him even though there were lots of moments.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I dunno if this◊ will count or not, but it's too good to not mention.
First of all, it's not entirely clear that the priest is digging his thumbs into some poor guy's eye sockets.
Second, once I figured that part out after staring at the picture long enough, that might be a little to violent for a page image.
I would like to see what other thinks too, but you might be right. I tried finding one picture where he had jet-black eyes but I couldn't find one of good quality. I'll try again later today.
Oh, and for the Frollo pic, it doesn't work, cause Frollo is not a priest in Disney version, he's a judge.

I like the original. He actually has a sinister look on his face.
Fight smart, not fair. How about a picture of the troop namer
I think this one◊ from his time leading the disciples of the new church works best to illustrate the point of this trope.
If you're talking about Frollo, he doesn't work. He isn't a priest in this version, he is a judge. he is religious yes, but he isn't a minister, he his not part of the Church. So he's not an example.

He's got the fancy hat though.
Fight smart, not fair.I'm not sure that's a religious hat. Might very well be, I'm just not sure. It sure not as iconic of religous membership as, say, the dog collar or the mitre. He is still referred as Minister a couple of time during the movie, though, so i suppose he could fit. But I'm sure we can find better.

I'm no expert, but the Church had its own courts back then, so it's conceivable he's both.
Jet-a-Reeno!Good point, I don,t know myself, but if we have to look deep into the history of things to show he is an example, he's probably not the best bet for a page image.
For a Sinister Minister pic, I can propose you Mihael Zeelbis "The Bloody" from Mitsumete Knight.
Here are two pics, one from the game, and one from the 4th Drama CD booklet.
Unfortunately, I don't have access to a scanner today, so for the booklet pic, all I can propose you for now is a shot taken from a WEBCAM.
If the pic interest you, tell me, once I can get to a scanner I'll scan and edit the pic to take out the page border.
Original shot of the booklet pic is HERE.◊

The movie takes place in medieval France. Medieval France wasn't exactly secular; religion and government were connected. He may not directly and personally be a priest, but he is VERY connected with organized religion and certainly has the demeanor of a sinister religious leader.
The real problem with the first Frollo picture was that it was JAFAAC.
^^The character doesn't look all that sinister in either picture.
And can we pull Frollo from the page already? Nothing about that picture suggests this trope in full.
I agree, but he's still technically not a priest and certainly doesn't wear an outfit that is easily identifiable with a religious figure. Again, he is religious and pious, but he isn't part of the Church. He might work as an example in the Examples section, but for the page image he's sending the wrong message.

^^ He certainly doesn't look like a Good Shepherd with that smuggish/creepy smile and, in the second pic, with that omnious sky in the background, admit it.

"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori Yae^Not really.

First pic he looks kind of villainous, but second pic, not really. That just look like a sky, not an ominous one. It's not a sunny sky, but it,s just a sky. Maybe you have another pic of the same guy doing something like weilding a weapon of laughing maniacally or something? He does have a croos and a robe, so yeah, the religious part is there. In the first pic, he is even in a church. It's the sinister I'm not sure.

^^ Come on, can't you see the clothes and especially the cross on his chest for the second pic ? And in the first, that he's in a church ?
^ Unfortunately I don't have an artwork of him wielding his staff, only in-game battle sequences via this video (he appears around 11:45, and the battle starts around 12:45. Beware, unsubbed moonspeak in there.)

"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori Yae^Yeah, the pictures establish that he's a religious figure very, very well... But he doesn't look evil or sinister at all.
^^^ Full artwork from where the pic comes from◊. (Again a webcam shot, sorry for the quality.)
There's a large difference in the sky between the two sides there. Although I have to admit, it would be hard to show that without losing the focus on Zeelbis (and the rapier hilt doesn't help).
^ I don't quite see how not-evil-looking he is to you. Would you trust a churchman appearing like that ? In my case, I sure wouldn't.

Somebody recently changed the page image for Sinister Minister. The old one worked fine, the new one is just... ugh. I do not see Minister, and it looks more outright murderous than Sinister. I'd like to at least restore the old image, or perhaps we can find one that's even better.
Old vs New:
