Uh... How'd they take down a god without any powers beforehand?

Plus, if they wanted the Fay dead that badly, why not declare open war?

And why is the government employing obvious psychopaths and such anyways? Don't they have screening processes?

... Of course, I GM Mythril Aces, so I guess I'm one to talk about psychopaths in the army. Then again, mine haven't actually gotten around to killing anyone yet...

Anyways, if I was in charge, after powering up my closest and most loyal assets, I'd completely obliderate the corpse with whatever methods were used to kill it in the first place, so that no others could gain whatever power eating it could possess.

Of course, I also wouldn't have bothered killing the god in the first place, instead trying to focus on keeping my head down and away from any kind of conflict area or large population center, if I really thought things were that bad.

Edit: Oh wait, what would two insane obsessive brothers do? Cut it into cubes and give it out at the supermarket as free samples.

yeah, they basically poisoned it with some Phlebotinum.

These two brothers basically powered up Mudo with it and some others, and then destroyed the corpse. Destroying the corpse was the last thing they ever agreed on.

Both of them are perpetrators of the ultimate sin according to Japanese myth: they killed a God and stole its domain.

they did not declare open war because they are dealing with one another in a bit of Evil vs. Evil. If they did that, it would be the height of foolishness. They did something most Fey consider unforgivable.

Well since I couldn't decide I'll just take a mix of both Fairies and Vampiries.

  • NAME: Saraid Tracker
  • SPECIES: Dearg-Dul
  • SEX: Female
  • AGE: 79 -Apparent age: 20-
  • OCCUPATION: Fae's Peace Keeping Organization.
  • APPEARANCE: A beautiful woman, with blond hair cut to shoulder lenght, green eyes and a pale complexion. Almost always wears men's clothes to work, the most usual one being black suits with a simple hat and gloves. She's quite lean, with an elvish build and features that would betray her origin to the observant eye.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION: A quiet fae woman of a kind of vampiric fairies that can only be killed by pilling rocks over their corpse. Due to her abilities and resilience she got a spot on the Fae Peace Keeping Organization which ensured that conflict between fae and more importantly between humans and fae be kept at a minimum. Saraid knows the importance of her job so she does so to the best of her ability and without a complaint

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

My question of why they were recruited at all still stands.

Also, Mudo or however it's spelled... He may have the most Camp Gay outfit I have heard read.

Dalt, hope you don't mind me hopping on your Peace Keeping Org. idea. If you do, I'll change it.

  • NAME: Miyuki Fujioka
  • SPECIES: Yuki-onna (snow spirit)
  • SEX: Female
  • AGE: 149 (appears about 18-25)
  • OCCUPATION: Fae's Peace Keeping Organization.
  • APPEARANCE: Tall (like 5’11” or something I don’t know), stunningly attractive yet horrendously pale, long black hair and bright red lips, always wears kimonos long enough to hide her (lack of) feet (glides / hovers instead of walking)
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Miyuki doesn’t remember much from her past, assuming there was anything worth remembering. Her personality tends to switch between two different extremes. Half of the time she is inviting and unfailingly polite, while the other half she is cold, condescending and often terse. She believes fey and humans should accept each other, if only to prevent any large scale conflict. Occasionally has lapses when she feels that all humans are nothing but bigoted, worthless trash, but tries to keep these thoughts under control, partly out of intense guilt, and partly because she takes her job very, very seriously.

Good so far?

Of course I don't mind Velvet.

Interesting... I like your Yuki-Onna, she and Saraid seem like they'll have some feelings in common.

I made Mudo's outfit to sharply contrast his, well, unique mindset.

as for why they were brought in, their employer, who mentored them, knew they would compete in all things, including in making sure that stability is maintained and stopping stuff from happening.

Though Mudo complicates that bit.

Looks interesting. May I join?

NAME: Touya Kurenai.

SPECIES: Japanese Vampire/Kyuuketsuki.
SEX: Male.
AGE: 250 years old. (Appears to be 21.)
OCCUPATION: Bouncer at a nightclub.
APPEARANCE: Brown hair, Red eyes, about 5'9 tall, has pale white skin and looks handsome for his age. He often wears a hoodie to keep the sun's rays off of him.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: He has a bad boy attitude, which is a facade for his kind-heartedness. He likes flirting with pretty girls and drinking wine. He prefers human females rather than dating fey women, because their blood is more richer. He doesn't like assholes that mistreat women, fey or human, and people that believe misconceptions about most vampires.

Cthulu: Sure, go ahead.

Everyone else: Approved.

I think you may be missing a bit of Schol's point- Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he saying that you're not supposed to have any powers? Even gained ones? I don't know.

That was my point. Sorry, Nick. No powers at all. I believe I mentioned that Gods and the sort were not allowed, and that includes eating them. Swords are fine, guns are fine, No Irish Need Apply is fine but if you're are human then you are human.

could the Kagemoto brothers then technically, along with Makoto, technically be Humanoid Abominations?

The Fey that the Kagemotos ate for their powers which subsequently made them Humanoid Abominations would not technically be a God, just be very powerful and "godlike".

well...is there anything I can do? Make them gain their power the way Mudo did?

Thumbs down again. Neither Makuto nor Mudo can have powers unless they are Fey. And then only what is mentioned in legends or popular perception.

You make it sound like they are part of some international organization and judging by their attire at least one of them isn't native to the US. Sound like they have money. Money is a power.

I think he said the same thing over in When The Tropers Cry... Hmm.

Bad luck, Nick... Why don't you make an RP 'for you', like you said? It's be interesting, too say the least.

Oh well. So, how many should we wait for before starting?

Six is a nice even number. And given the broad nature of the RP we can always add more people later. I'll start it up as soon as I can if no one has any objections.

Intruiging idea. I'm immediately reminded of Shadowrun, from way back in the day. Can I be a mundane normal?

NAME: Egon Carver

SPECIES: Human (white anglo-saxon descent)
SEX: Male
AGE: 35 years old
OCCUPATION: Civilian - Defense Contractor, works in an office environment going over production records
APPEARANCE: Brown hair (bit of gray showing), blue-gray eyes, about 5'8 tall, and is a tad overweight. Dresses in black slacks, t-shirt and work shirt over that.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Egon is a mild-mannered self-professed geek (or nerd, depending on the mood) who works for a local defense contractor as an admin clerk and quality assurance inspector. He used to turn wrenches on the actual product, so is fairly mechanically inclined, but has no aspirations to work in management, despite considerable technical knowledge. Did some time in the military as an electronics technician a decade ago. He's principled, and intruiged by the Fey he knows in his area, and tries not to prejudge them. This can get him into some interesting debates with other humans who are not as tolerant. Might explain why he is still single. He's a Widower, after his wife died due to mysterious circumstances five years previous.

'Defense contractor'... Isn't that a fancy tern for mercenary? I might be wrong.

Not so mundane of that's the case. tongue

That's pretty much me in Real Life - and no, not a mercenary. The military can't afford to have soldiers and stuff turnign wrenches on making or repairing everything they use, so they use defense contractors to do a lot of rear-echelon maintenance, and new manufacturing. Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman, Raytheon, that sort of thing.

So yeah, I'm mundane, and so is this alter-ego version - but the muscle memory of shooting a rifle is like riding a bike... you pick it up again really quickly.

...Not that I'm expecting that sort of thing.
