This is one of the oddest topics I've ever put out there.

Now I'm well aware of Rita's powers. She is both a size changer, and a stretcher. In fact she can enlarge separate parts of her body, and shrink much smaller than most size changers bar the Atom.

What I've been wondering about is her durability. People with rubber powers usually tend to be able to absorb alot of punishment (Plastic Man for instance), so I've been trying to figure out if it's even been said if Rita has greater durability than average, due to everything literally bouncing off of her, or at least it should.

Begin discussion!

If what I remember is correct, the original Elasti-Girl was, no matter her size, always as vulnerable as a regular person. If she was shot when she was in a huge size, then most bullets would just get stuck in her skin than merely go through her and when she shrank back to normal, the bullets would fall out but she would still have minor injuries.

The current one, in the current Keith Giffen run, is a partial clone, more akin to living Silly Putty than Giganta. She can have a limb blown off or be bisected vertically, but she'll still be fine. She can still grow and shrink, but she's now at a point where it would take serious artillery and firepower to completely destroy her.

Sometimes life just sucks. You have to learn to take the good with the bad. Why should you expect anything different in the mediums?
