The TV Tropes Forum RPG zone is divided into 3 different zones, normal RPs usually have a thread in each of these.
- Role Playing Singups: The first place to go in order to join a game or start your own. In this place the GMs post the basic settings, story and rules of the RPs and the players post their own characters and wait for approval to start posting in the game proper.
- Role Playing Discussion: Where all the OC talk goes, like discussing character actions and a place to ask questions.
- Role Playing: This zone is where the actual Role Playing takes place.
Please do refer to the Role Playing Rules
for the guidelines on which this section of the Forum operates. Different R Ps have their own rules, though the ones outlined in the Role Playing Rules thread cover the basics of what is enforced here.

What happens to a character when they are created but don't make the cut in the final draft? The lucky one's just get forgotten, Your not one of the lucky ones, your a character from an original world,or maybe a fan character or a Role play character who's was thrown away for others too use as parts.

Breath of the Sun
Two Swords, Two Schools up. Should've posted this earlier.
On a large Pacific Island, which is occasionally mistaken for Japan, there are two schools, North Academy and South Academy. These schools, however, throw English and Science out the window, and teach college-age students how to use bladed weapons to kill each other. Each student takes one blade or pair of blades, and wields it for a lifetime. They unleash the full might of their blade by calling it's name.
In this land there is also magic, however, magic is used by most for little but strengthening their blade, and perhaps an attack or two. For you see, magic is feared by all, and hated by some. The people fear it will upstage swordsmanship.
What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?
It's a bit late, but you might consider putting Chess World as "stalled."

That said, I do have an idea of my own, but it would have to be very carefully planned in advance...
I was thinking of an Ultiverse RP with numerous story arcs. However, it is very much a pre-planned, pre-set world, with very strict requirements on the events that take place and what characters were where at what times and so on. One thing I still haven't figured out, though: Who were the Eruseans supposed to represent, and how can we make a plausible conflict involving them take place in 2005 without breaking the story elsewhere?
I'll start a signup thread once I get that little detail sorted out.

Okay, I want to do a little expirement. The premise of this is a continuation of the Muggle/Wizard spat that's showed up in a few places, there will be a team of commandos on both sides, one would be a near future Rainbow Six type Muggle team, and the other would be a collection of Harry Potter type wizards, probably Aurors, but some Death-Eaters and random Order of the Phoneix type folk will be okay.
What's unique about this, is that besides the nifty premise, all Pv P will be done via RPS. Yes that's right, it's an RPS RPG (With RP Gs! If you're a muggle)!
The player initiating the attack would PM the GM (Me) and their target, sending their Rock, Paper, Scissors, selection to me, and notifying the other player that they need to make a move.
A few special allowences will be made, for example a Sniper will win a tie if he initiates, but not if attacked. This will be more well developed, but at the moment consider this an Alpha version.
Charlie Tunoku is a lover and a fighter.
I think the Persona RP is stalled, depending on how someone sees it...hasn't been posted in for a while, and i'm not really sure if the other players want to continue in it...

Anyone, how about Cross Edge RP? I cannot make one because I never played the game, but I think Cross Edge has very interesting universe. It would be fun to play it with other characters.

Galactic Soldier Troperion (working title)
In the Lambdadelta sector, a supply of the compound codenamed Mythril, necessary for FTL travel, has been found. Two factions, the Earth Federation and the Centauran Confederacy, are battling over these precious mines. Recently, a peace treaty has been planned, so both can make use of this area. But tensions are high, and any spark could set it off into a fragfest...
Gameplay will be somewhat turnbased using Roll to Dodge as a template. Actions will be rolled for by each side's GM (Hydrall for the Feds and Lockon for the Cens), possibly with bonuses depending on the situation. Combat will be generally at somewhat long range, but depending on players' actions it could really take place anywhere.
Battles can be in space or on planets, with the majority being the former.
This isn't actually mine, it's Lockonlockon's. Also, it's a mecha RP.

Well, created my first roleplay,The Beasts Within: An Animal Transforming Role Play
Surrounded by wilderness, there are tribes scattered across with abities some refer to as 'shapeshifting'. Of course, everyone has different ideas on how to live their life with such abilities, and there are multiple factions, some on friendly terms, some on not so friendly terms.
Heres hoping I did this right...
New User Handle
Here's a few ideas that I had for new RPs. But since I'm don't really see myself as a Game Master, these ideas are free for people to use.
- Angel Beats: The Next Generation (But not that generation.)
- After Otanashi left, a new set of young teens are sent to Purgatory High School. Devoid of the previous souls guidance, as they realize what's going on, the group decides that they shouldn't disappear without a trace. Later a single human finds a disk called the Angel Player. Seeing its power, that person decides that they will become God in this new universe. To add salt onto injury, a severe malfunction in a PC that used to hold the program creates new enemies in the NPCs; creating a new type of shadow that keeps the appearance of a student.

So, random thoughts from when I was in the shower:
We've had a bajillion Holy Grail War RPs, but no general Nasuverse ones (Doing made up KnK or Tsukihime like stories and plotlines). I was thinking that one advantage of not adhering to the to the rigid grail war structure is that it wouldn't require 14 characters to keep going. If one person in the Grail War leaves, it kinda leaves the game doomed to failure without that 7th servant/master pair. Though we'd lose the appeal of using historical figures to duke it out.
Anothe thought was that, maybe for the next Grail War, we could summon characters from the other forum RPs as Servants. That wouldn't be meta at all.

I'm imagining up a Slice of Life type school RP. When I first thought of it, I figured it would be too boring but if I can get fun event ideas in as the Absurdly Powerful Student Council, I think it might work.
Here's an idea for Holy Grail Wars, how about discarding the 7 Servant Classes idea all together, it will make things a lot easier and historical figures can still duke out.

I was looking forward of a High Fantasy RP... oh well (unless I'm blind, which is more than possible). Since it isn't there, guess I should just start my own... actually, I saw it at Gamefaqs, but whatever...
It's your standard High Fantasy setting. X evil dude was captured for a long time, and he finally broke out. It has magic, elves, dwarves and everything... anyone interested?
EDIT: Eeh, I just checked that there is a High Fantasy RP... but, for some reason, it didn't catch my attention... oh well.

I'm still a little peeved about Heroes being canceled. I mean, I can understand why they would want to do it, the plot and novelty of the show decaying faster than Adam Monroe, but I still think that there could be so many more stories to mine from the universe in general.
We Don't Need Another Hero
On November 8, 2006, an explosion in New York rocked the world, catapulting the empowered few into the limelight, forever changing the course of history. Five years later, a new group of Heroes have come into the world, not quite sure of their destiny, and how to save a world that was only scraps of what they started with.
With both the empowered and impowered public split down the middle on how to treat this new breed of humans, the US Government declared all empowered civilians enemies of the state, and sentenced them to be rounded up to be forcefully administered a "superpower cure," which none have ever survived.
Can our new Heroes stop this madness in a world that condones genocide? Can they even survive in their destiny, let alone embrace it and change their world?
