I have to ask, what exalted would be thanos? Abysmal or infernal?
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"The man's in love with Death. Abyssal for sure.

Are there any Infernal Charms that could make Asura's energy blasts?
Green Sun Nimbus Flare?
Well, that and the rest of the tree. Might need a custom charm to mimic it exactly.

So, um, question. I've played 2e before. My favorite group tends to be Lunars; I like to play really intensely psychological characters, so the shapeshifting and association with the Wyld works really well for me. I have a character idea that I'd really like to use in a future game, but I'm not sure if the potential GM will be using 2e or 3e rules (Still haven't met them in person, and it'll probably be months before we can actually get a game rolling). If 2e, I'm good; that's what I know and what I've been trying to base the character I want to use on. If 3e, I have no idea if my concept still makes coherent sense. I don't even have the book, so I have no good way to check.
So, two questions, I guess. First, does the way the Wyld work, Lunars' relationship with it, and Lunars' ability to learn Fae charms change significantly from 2e to 3e? Second, does the Solar-Lunar bond change significantly between 2e and 3e? Also, does Thorns still exist in the same state it existed in 2e?
...OK, I think I'm done with the questions now. And somehow, in the course of my writing them out, they turned from 2 to 5. I will now hit the send button before any more magically make their way into my post.
The 3E Lunars book isn't out yet, so most details about Lunars are a shifting silver question mark right now. Thorns is, as far as I'm aware, about the same as in 2E.
Thanks a ton!
The general gist of what the writer has revealed so far: Wyld taint is no longer a thing. The lunar bond is mostly opt-in via charms and deadly beastman transformation knocks your evocation resonance down a notch (so you become neutral with moonsilver and dissonant with everything else). Chimeras are just lunars with a spirit shape that's a hybrid of 2+ creatures. It is also opt-in via a charm.
EDIT: Oh, OK. So if there's no more Wyld taint, then that whole "exaltation has a Wyld spark" thing is probably gone too, right? Hm, that could mean I might need to alter some explanations...

So I've got a Gdoc devoted to finding character analogues for the various character types in Exalted, made so I can have an easier time explaining the world to others and to make sense of it myself.
Unrelated, I also got the Dowager approved by the Complete Monster Cleanup thread. You'll now find her writeup in the Spirits YMMV page.

Anybody here have the Malfeas compass PDF? Because I think I have an image for the Nightmare Fuel page.
I'm talking about the artwork of the Ebon Dragon blotting out Ligier, with Erembour and her posse in the street below.
The caption I have in mind for it is "Don't worry; only one of these things is actually evil."
Unfortunately, for reasons I'd prefer not to discuss, I am unable to upload the picture to TV Tropes. Would anybody be so kind as to do so?

You can get it on Drivethrurpg here, and even Onyx Path's own site links directly to DTRPG rather than maintaining a separate storefront.
"Cheap" is not how I'd describe it, though.
To be fair you do get a lot of book for your money with the 3e core.
As for community, there's the onyx path forums, and also a discord server.
Thanks indeed, it's not "cheap", it is VERY CHEAP! :-) That's why I will buy my exalted orbs at Odealo, a great store with cheap Exalted orbs https://odealo.com/games/path-of-exile

The Kickstarter for 3e's Dragonblooded book has begun, and it looks like it'll probably reach its goal sometime today. Previews look really good.
Books funded. Now we're onto stretch goals.
Probably gonna get Gunzosha in the supplementary stuff, which is nice.
This is very good to have a lot of exalted orbs, with orb the game is much easier. And also good to know a legit source of it. Great and strong poe items https://www.sellersandfriends.com/path-of-exile/standard/orb are very important to have very strong char

Man, now I want to start a thread discussing the Exalted mechanic in Magic: The Gathering and see if that gets overtaken by what appear to be either bots or spammers who want to sell black market whatever the fuck for a videogame I don't play.
Well, anyway, the Dragon Blooded Kickstarter finished. (We got Gunzosha, so that's cool) and the preview manuscript has been released. Some pretty cool tricks in there.
Like, one charm lets them straight-up fly.
And they can look for you so hard that fire shoots from their eyes.
I'm digging the fluff, too. For one, the Great Houses feel like they have stronger and more distinct identities this time. Like, I can distinguish Cathak, pre-disaster Tepet, and Sesus beyond being the military House, the Air military House, and the military House full of assholes. Now Cathak's all about being a soldier rather than some undisciplined warrior, Tepet's all about being a warrior rather than some common soldier, and Sesus is all about sabotage, spymastering, and similar dirty tricks. (So, you know, still full of assholes.) And each House gets an artifact weapon showcasing their shtick, so you can have a Cathak burst into flames with the force of her Semper Fi while the Tepet struggles to contain the power of the storm in her grimcleaver and the Sesus ambushes someone to immolate them with extra-painful flame. Definitely looking forward to the Realm and the companion book.
Dammit man, don't make me start trying to fit Exalted characters into the color pie.

Has there been anything about the Infernal Exalted? I was intrigued by the idea years ago but their splat novel was all but garbage (at least, from what the grapevine has said) so I was curious if they had been rendered more then garbage. The lore, at the very least.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. The 2E splatbook's perfectly fine, it's just mysteriously missing the first two chapters. Damndest thing.
Anyway, we haven't heard shit about 3E Infernals since before the lead developers changed. Didn't even get a mention in the corebook. I could comment on some preview stuff I've heard from way back when, but it's mostly about changes to how they work and I dunno if you know enough about the 2E version for that kind of thing to have any meaning to you.
Off the top of my head...
They'll probably be resonant with orichalcum and neutral with everything else, like abyssals are with soulsteel.
A few of the Devil Tiger tricks like generating a personal inner world and manifesting aspects of yourself as demons are gonna be part of their charms set.
They still get shintai, which to those unfamiliar is a thing where an infernal turns into a big honking monster. This will probably prevent the use of Martial Arts by default, but there will be a shintai aspect that you can take that allows them at the cost of needing to be vaguely humanoid.
Their castes include the Azimuth cast and the Penumbra caste, with the Azimuth being their equivalent of dawns. The infernal castes will have a slightly different caste attribute spread than their solar counterparts. This is also true of abyssals.
Yeah, I'd say he's a decent fit.
Could work as a solar too.
