I know that this is going to go horribly wrong, but at the moment, it seems like something that could actually solve a bunch of problems at one go. Ollie gets a master. Candy gets a pet...

I know she's the semi-official villain of GWS, but I like that Candy has a new bitch. Ollie I can take or leave, but Candy I've liked ever since the GWS/S*P wedding crossover.

Candy hasn't been a villain in GWS in a long while. She's just had so little on-screen time there that she hasn't gotten a chance to show off the character development she got here.

Davan is having his longstanding conflicts removed. Obviously, he's going to die this year and the strip is going to end.

...well, Davan/Vanessa was at the tail-end of the initial ten-year plan if I remember correctly. Even if Davan doesn't die, S*P might be ending.

This is too pat... Something has to go wrong soon.

This is usually the point in the movie where the aliens invade, or the bad guy shoots someone, or something along those lines. The other shoe will hit the ground HARD on the 27th.

This is going to be one strange wedding.

We also would've accepted "D'AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW".

I'm trying to figure out if I should or shouldn't be shocked that Davan has a monster costume.

You expected otherwise from this comic?

Sometimes I forget this comic does moments like this—moments where I get reminded the world can actually be a pretty good place.

Yeah, I kind of wish he'd included the extra ten panels.

I don't know if finding my parents wedding cake pictures were like this would be insanely awesome or incredibly embarrassing. Assuming, of course, there will be kids. I know that Davan's experiences with Rory have left him somewhat desirous of having a kid, but I also remember a strip where Fred tried to get Davan to go out and have a vasectomy. Counterpoint to that, there's also adoption, as with Pamjee.

Given the pictures are posited as wedding photographs, probably even chances of the last one being real or staged.

Given what we know of Vanessa, it's pretty much given to be not staged.

Davan's getting weak. The Davan I knew would just have answered "No, I sent her a coathanger to mess with her mind."

I know that it's "Old Familiar Faces" where he brings back all of the old characters, but does anyone else read these strips and feel like this is the epilogue?

Eh. It's not really tasting blood you have to worry about - it's the mess that'll be all over your fingers when you're done.

It does feel a bit epilogue-ish. Calling back to the infamous first strip's punchline is definitely something one does toward the end of a run.
