I used to. I had some really good laughs with this thing back in the day, but that guy's attitude finally drove me off.
"Pale Ebenezer thought it wrong to fight, but Roaring Bill (who killed him) thought it right." - Hillaire Belloc, The PacifistI just finished Archive Binging it.
"Let your religion be less of a theory and more of a love affair."What'd you think?
The Philosopher-King ParadoxI still follow it.
Actually, I think the writer's mellowed a lot. I think this started back when (according to one of his You Tube posts), a then-girlfriend of his critiqued a plot-point (how he was originally going to have a girl reject Davan after misinterpreting something that happened) and said something to the effect of, "You could just let Davan catch a break and be happy, occasionally."
It is rather unfortunate that the popular oppinion of the comic is primarilly informed by the first few years of the strip. The characters have grown quite a bit since then.

The Philosopher-King ParadoxI know, right? It's a great strip, and it's really come into it's own since those first few years. I tend to find his attitude somewhat refreshing. It's not like he's singling anybody out. I myself don't agree with everything he says, but I'm not going to whine over it, because he does a great job.
My biggest whine right now would be that some of my favorite webcomic creators/artists were in Seattle recently, and I could've gone to see them, but I'm out of the country. T_T
[Placeholder for something snarky]Also the stories tend to have big arches; so it's difficult to follow them if you start at random; current one with Karisma is been going on for what, 3 or 4 months; and has yet to wrap up.
It'd make for a great soap opera tough, but I can't see any major network risking the ammount of politically incorrectness of the script.
Obvious solution: AMC or FX.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Milholland has said that he likes how evil it was at first. He loves using the very first comic as a defense against the "your comic didn't used to be so mean"
When in Doubt: Fireball the chamber and let the Gods decideWhat I'm wondering is who the dude with the hook hand is.
Always touching and looking. Piss off.It says right at the bottom of the page. Wil Wheaton.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987It's very bleak, but I like it. There's not too much else to say...

I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception. Can this be the page quote for Rape as Drama?
♭What.I DO love this comic. I've been archive binging it and I really enjoy it, in spite of its sharp right angle to my optimistic attitude about life (an attitude that it grinds at daily, hoping to wear away. Little does it know, you can accept that people are stupid and be happy as well).
But I have one little question. I'm searching the archives of another comic, Girly, for its cameo of Choo-Choo Bear. And for the life of me, I can't find it. SOMEONE HELLLLP!
I'm in your fanfiction, correcting your spelling.I don't think it's possible to act so caricatural in real life. Or at least, I hope it isn't.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."You'd be surprised at how self-ignorant some people can be.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Part of me is disappointed that Mike has backslid so far, because I'd really gotten to like him, but another part of me enjoys seeing the others tear him a new one, just as in the old days. I wonder if it's just psychological inertia and failure to keep working on himself and his relationship that's made him revert to jerk mode, or whether there's a reason yet to be revealed.
My guess? He had no idea how to fix his flaws, and nobody was willing to properly help him (i.e. actually get him some therapy considering nothing else works), so he simply regressed while spending time away from Tamara.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987I love this comic.
Underneath the bridge The tarp has sprung a leak And the animals I've trapped have all become my petsI do wish that he had an arc with mike becoming a better person, rather than returning to pessimism, but I am not surprised, as making fun of annoying twits is the heart of the comic.
What do you want Bronn? Gold? Women? Golden Women?Mike is a tragic character- no matter how hard he tries, he will never improve his social skills. Actually, scratch that, he will never try to improve in the first place. Every problem he causes is his fault, yet he gets shit upon so often that I feel sympathy for him regardless. Seriously, a pornstar ejaculated on his face repeatedly, in the very end of an arc about him avoiding being sexually assaulted!
They assed first. I am only retaliating in an ass way. -The Dead Man's LifeOh...my...God.
I finally get why Kharisma's shirt changed color in the arc where she tries to kill Avagadro! Just look at who's in the background of this comic when it happens. She's channeling the ghost of TWITCHY-HUG!
I'm in your fanfiction, correcting your spelling.Ah, of course!
That is one nice little detail there.
What's precedent ever done for us?
So, anyone else read this comic?
