Is this the official girls' thread?
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerNecroing this ancient thread to solve my dilemma:
I'm fixing to sew myself a coat/jacket based on the one the Ace Trainer wears in the Pokemon Let's Go spinoff games (my visual reference◊).
It wouldn't be my first jacket sewing project, but it would be my first attempt at a long jacket, and it would definitely count as my first attempt at modifying a coat pattern (the nearest thing I've done is making a tunic for a Link costume, years ago).
Any ideas on a pattern I can start with, or any guides on making longer jackets?

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerI mean, this will sound obvious, but Simplicity has some great patterns, especially if it's your first time making a jacket like that.
I was mostly hoping someone might be able to suggest a specific pattern to modify (ideally one which already has seams where all the accents are).
I've already found a pretty simple tutorial on how to make a jacket asymmetric (which should hopefully work on a longer jacket, since the side seams don't appear to be attached past the hips anyway), so that's one part down.
That and pray it actually works IRL.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerSorry to double post and necro at the same time, but I have another sewing issue.
It's my friends' baby shower in 2 weeks time, and I wanted to make a plushie. I already have quite a bit of fleece, and some stuffing left over from a previous project, but I've never made one before.
Any suggestions for tutorials?
