Main reason he wouldn't is because he sees no benefit from it. Granted, he might cause a bit of excessive property damage, but probably no more than you'd expect from an angel battle. But why would he destroy something that gave him everything he needs to entertain himself, education, food, and the chance to pilot a giant mech? That's also the main reason he wants to defend Tokyo-3, because as far as he's concerned, he's living the good life. Fighting angels is also an excellent outlet for his rage, it can be put to good use.
So as I sing now, I call forth Unlimited Leek Works!^^Oh yeah.
Ah, I see. Thank you. So he's basically leaving Tokyo-3 well enough alone because it fulfills his wants/needs, and fighting Angels allows him to blow off some steam.
Locking you up on radar since '09Yeah, sounds about right. Sorry, I have a tendency to be superfluous.
So as I sing now, I call forth Unlimited Leek Works! No problem. In fact, it's probably a good thing to be at least slightly over-talkative in RPs: it means you give plenty of information.
Locking you up on radar since '09So three down, one magnificent bastard and clone chick to go.
Indeed...
Locking you up on radar since '09Reverse boat eyes? Seriously? Well, okay.
Anyway, this is a spare character I'll use in parts to take up space on the pilot roster, to be there in case no one else can pilot due to plot reasons, because I want to get started as soon as possible, and because I wish to be the little girl◊ - erm, an EVA pilot. She'll be kept out of combat (because people generally agree she's not a good first choice for combat) unless needed.
Here comes the standard wimp pilot who sucks at everything (in other words, Fem!Shinji):
Sex: Never considered it - er, female.
Age: 14
Nationality: Japanese
Physical Description: Average height, slim and small in appearance, generally unremarkable. Short black hair, leveled bangs.
Backstory: Emi had an unhappy childhood, having to deal with the constant mood whiplash of loving mother and abusive alcoholic father. At eight years old, her father, in a drunken rage accidentally killed her mother but avoided being charged for manslaughter by submitting her corpse to Gehirn for a salvaging operation and then promptly commiting suicide. The salvaging was later carried out into the first developed prototype, Unit 00.
She lived with an uncle for a few years, then with her older brother, then finally moved back to Tokyo-3 to live with her older sister, who works at NERV. She is surprisingly adjusted and happy living with her older sister, but absolutely hated living with her uncle and older brother. Looks up to her older sister to a ridiculous extent.
Family: Older sister/guardian Mai, father and mother both deceased. Older brother living outside of Tokyo-3.
Residence: Emi lives with her sister in an apartment in Tokyo-3.
Job: Pilot of Unit 00.
Life Skills: Decent cook, a task she actually enjoys, to the point of being the Team Mom when it comes to cooking.
Combat Skills: Mostly poor, as Emi is basically as physically weak as a kitten and has low pain tolerance. Relies almost entirely on natural dexterity and planning.
Friends: Does Not Like Men, and sometimes comes off as cold and socially awkward in front of other people, but can get along with people her age if they share the same situation with her (in this case, pilots).
Enemies: No one (yet. This can change if someone else wants it to)
I guess by extension I just made a sister character too. Maybe I should make her a NERV employee instead of a student.

We've got two Shinjis!
The angst! It's too strong!
-explodes into LCL-
Locking you up on radar since '09in all serious i hope to avert the angst somewhat by making emi bottle it all up and then explode later on, thereby getting it out of her system.

Um... I'm pretty sure that all pilots were in Utero during the second impact.
^^Excessive angst averted.
-reforms-

Just a minor mistake.
Also, maybe we should each have two character to speed up the process of filling out the roster? One Pilot, one Nerv officer?
Perhaps, although this thing seems to be picking up steam.
Locking you up on radar since '09It's just that everyone wants to be a pilot, no one has volunteered for anything plot critical.
Yeah, that does seem a little worrying.
I say we give it one more day. If nobody makes a non-pilot character then we implement the plan. Either that or we can just do that right away.
Locking you up on radar since '09Well, it's Opnerf's RP so obviously, I don't get to make these calls but that sounds like a good plan. I'll wait for his call though.
As you said, Opnerf gets GM fiat.
Locking you up on radar since '09Waiting a bit sounds good. We'll wait until tommorow and if no one applies for NERV employee I'll make Mai a NERV employee.
Now I'm going to bed, I can't think straight.
So, Faux has forced me to take part in this RP out of my own free will. There's nothing more sinister than making a person join something they already wanted to.
I'll write up some stuff for a character tomorrow, but I happen to be interested in the non-pilot roles. My first instinct says Technical Division Commander, but I'm open to anything besides piloting. Any suggestions?

GM of AGOG S4: Frontiers RP; Sub-GM of TABA, SOTR, & UUA RPsThat sounds awesome. Tech commander is a good role too because you get to come up with the weapons the EVAs use.
...dammit, bedtime
