I don't have any idea what this game is but I want it. Not that it matters cause I don't have a PS 3 and this would probably not get brought to the US anyway.
I ain't touching it with a ten foot pole, its too Moe for me.
The United States actually may get this game. Check this article from siliconera. I think it's safe to say we better start a page for this on this wiki.
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Ooh, nice. Now I just need a PS 3...
Though, we can hold off on starting a page until at least when the game is released in Japan, if only so that we'll know what tropes are in the game.

The DS is not the villain, I think the villain is in fact the personification of piracy and this is on PS 3 so people can't ironically play it pirated.
That said... part of me wants to play it but I probably wouldn't do it in public. If it gets good reviews and I manage to find a rental place where I'm 100% sure no one will ever know me I might give it a shot.
The Japanese are really good at making games like that. Somewhere along the line, you almost have to wonder if it's an intentional effort to embarrass foreigners.
I don't know... America is pretty good at making embarrassing products too. But, of course, the worst is when an American company imports an embarrassing Japanese game/anime/whatever and changes the packaging to make it more embarrassing (Strike Witches was like that. I've seen it with other things too, but I can't remember right now what they were)
The particular kind of sleaze that I associate with American products is decidedly different to the Japanese kind. In my experience, the American brand is less tolerable at the low end, but increases in embarrassment linearly, and caps out fairly quickly, whereas low levels of Japanese sleaze are pretty much entirely bearable, but it becomes embarrassing at a much faster rate, with no limit that I've yet observed.
I find the easiest way is just to buy it over the internet. Of course, then you run the risk of people thinking you bought porn.
Rpgland got some new scans 1◊ 2◊.

Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Oh, that explains everything.
Explains what?
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Nothing, making those scans entirely pointless. That is my point.
So apparently its being released in August

I didn't expect it to be released so soon. Kinda makes me apprehensive.
^^ The scans do give some information that doesn't require knowledge of Japanese. For instance, I now know that this game has an adequate amount of knee socks, which makes me happy. Also, for something that actually relates to the gameplay, it looks like there's some sort of combo-ish system thing involving pressing different combinations of buttons when attacking. Or something. Granted, I am basing that on one blurry screenshot so I'm probably wrong, but it's more than no information. Oh, and there are four different elements I guess.
Here's some real gameplay video for you guys
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Ahh! This is the exactly type of game that I would LOVE. Unfortunately, I don't have a ps3, and this game has too much fanservice (assuming).
Everything is better as a Dunkleosteus. Here's another PV that has just been released. WARNING Contains Transformation Sequence
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Hm... it looks like the battles are going to be really slow, especially with all the long animations and such. Though, that might not be too much of a problem in the actual game. We'll see.
unfortunately, it really was a slow game... fortunately, like all other IF games, you can skip the animation by pressing the L2 button...
alright guys.. the page is up.
Apparently the villain represents the DS? Weird.
