We got the specific date for Gamemaker's release: May 14!
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/ANice! I noticed an online shop here had set the release date to May 14 some days ago but good to have it confirmed!
"Leftover items still have value!"First post on this thread! As a fan of the Neptunia games, especially the recent ones, I was basically clamoring for this day to happen, especially since we didn't have anything beyond a few screenshots from the Japanese import and an official website.
"The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VIIA motorcycle racing game has been announced.
Judging from the website, I'm pretty sure this is an April Fools joke and the fact the comments believed it is hilarious.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AFrom what I could find from the timeline for the Compile Heart Japanese website, the game was announced on April 1st; the game's site during that day (archived link here) only consisted of a bunch of silhouettes of random dogoo monsters in different outfits, which change randomly once you click on the "Reload" button... but then it turned out to not be an April Fools joke but rather an actual game, complete with an official trailer from the official Compile Heart YouTube channel:

In other words... Yeah, the game is 100% real.
"The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VIIWell, good on the team for trolling those who visit the site . Maybe that's the real April Fools joke.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AWell at least its the return of the Nep Bike.
Cast for the English dub has been revealed on the website. Along with Melissa Fahn returning as Older Neptune, it also includes Deneen Melody as Pippih, Dawn M. Bennett as Jagaa and Cat Protano as Reedio.
Glad to see IFI joining the "properly crediting the ENG VAs" localization groups like XSeed and NISA. Hopefully this continues for the rest of the cast 🤞.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/ADon't touch Iffy's FUCKING bike.
Like I said before, these games are digital so bad news if your the kind that prefers physical games.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/ARerelease aside, this might be the first - and so far only - time a Neptunia entry is released internationally on the same day as its Japanese counterpart, rather than being released a year apart.
"The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VIIYou know, I just realized something: Despite Compile Heart and Sting constantly working with each other, I'm surprised that Sting isn't a character in the game series so far.
Edit: Found out it she is there, just a spin-off character

She/Her | Currently cleaning N/ASo in the same week, we are getting both ports of the Re;Birth games AND Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!On the topic of the Re;Birth games, my biggest issue I have with the third entry, judging from the walkthroughs I watched, was that it was no different from the game it was a remake of. Like, literally nothing had changed a part from an additional event that otherwise had nothing to do with the main story. It didn't even bother to address the criticism of the CPUs being selfish, petty Jerkass Goddesses who the story expects us to root for (not that the concept of Good Is Not Nice or Anti-Hero CPUs is a bad idea, I just wished they handled it better).
"The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VIIIf that's the case, they it should be labeled as an Updated Re Release. Have no idea why CH marketed it as a remake.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AApparently from what I could gather, it along with 1 and 2 was intended to be an Author's Saving Throw to complaints fans had with the heroines exaggerated personalities. RB1 was a complete overhaul of the original Hyperdimension Neptunia game, so much so that it even got a separate article on this wiki. RB2 was near identical to mk2 but without the 3D visual novel cutscenes and a few Maker characters getting replaced with Suspiciously Similar Substitutes. RB3 was essentially the same game with the differences they made was adding an event that was diverged from the main plot and having the characters acknowledge how toxic their behavior is.
"The name's Uzume Tennouboshi! Yeah, it's pretty badass, I know." - Uzume, Megadimension Neptunia VIIThey changed the combat up substantially, for the worse IMO.
The biggest complaint people have with Victory is how the main protagonists are all jerks, Iris Heart being…Iris Heart, and Nepgear being treated like dirt.
That last one is so infamous in the fanbase that CH have gone out of their way to never have Neptune abuse Nepgear like that again and consistently show how much the CP Us do indeed love their sisters.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Which probably helped made people far more sympathetic to her given the Conquest Ending in mkII.
Burning love!I would disagree there, people loved Iris Heart... and I mean loved. Nepgear being the Butt-Monkey is still around just not as extreme as it was in Victory.
Oh there's definitely love for Madam Goddess for sure.
Burning love!though she and Peashy did start the trend of what is basically Guest-Star Party Member CPUs who only appears in one game and maybe remakes/spinoff titles afterwards.
Honestly, I just want to see another Anti-Hero or morally-grey CPU in a future game, mainline or otherwise. We already have a selection of Anti-Villains, so why not make another anti-hero playable character? (Just as long as they don't go too far with it)
And on the subject of CPUs being jerks, Vert in Victory-II was also pretty jerkish from what I've seen. From taunting Blanc about her chest when their universe is about to be destroyed by a Dark CPU, to dressing Ram and Rom up in suggestive race queen outfits to boost shares, to creating clones of her friends for her (and Milli) to treat as her sister while the clones praise how much of a Cool Big Sis she is. And you wonder why she's still treated as the benevolent Goddess of her nation, let alone be rewarded with a dream showcasing her and her fictitious sisters, while Blanc gets a dream that's little more than a half-assed punchline to her A-Cup Angst.
