Hey just a question, I've been wanting to get into the franchise, since I'm massive fan of learning about the history old-timey games and game consoles plus it looks right my ally. So how do I get into it?
For reference, I have a Switch and a PS4. I do have a Steam account but no PC since I use a MAC.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AI'd say Start with Re:birth 1.
Unfortunately the Rebirth trilogy is PC and Vita only.
Then the next bet is to go with the current one. The games can be played without knowing what happened in previous entries. Like you can play Megadimension just fine without knowing Victory/Re;birth 3 simply because the former barely reference the latter.
Burning love!In that case, I'd say start with V 2 (That should be on Switch AFAIK),
FWIW it isn't a serialized narrative where important lore bits and continuity exists even in the side games, so you could prolly pick a game and get enough of a feel for the core cast there

The original Neptunia game did get a second remake called Neptunia Reverse which is basically the first Rebirth game but with a few extra features.
It's on both PS 4/5 and Xbox.
Yeah, keep forgetting Reverse exists. It's basically Rebirth 1 with a few extra characters and additions baked in.
I think it was RED, Cave and Hyperdimension!Falcom that got added to Reverse.

Burning love!It also added a fishing minigame, because for some reason JRP Gs need to have one.
Reverse is only on PS5 iirc?
The only games on Switch currently are VII, Super Neptunia RPG and the Senran Kagura crossover, out of those I'd definitely go with VII. Not sure if any of the games are playable on Mac but seems the Rebirth trio isn't at least
I've mentioned it before, but kinda weird we never got the Rebirth games on Switch when we have VII?

She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AAlso making Maho and Anri playable.
New trailer for R:Evolution just dropped, with some new characters:
There's a group of literal pirate characters, plus what seems to be a new maker named "Efusha" (F-sha?) who's (according to GT scan) a "wandering game maker"... now what company could that refer to? (...Fromsoft? I don't play their games so I don't know for sure)
...also this dog from a new screenshot◊ is looking kinda sus

Can’t see the video sadly.
But in case anyone doesn’t know yet, Game Maker is gonna be released in English in 2024! Defo gonna get this as my first Neptunia game.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AFor help with work pages in general, you may want to check this thread. (And hey, nice to see it finally getting a work page!) For now, I'll fix some typos, I'd also flesh out the examples with more context but I haven't gotten very far yet (should really get back to it one of these days...), you may want to check out the links in the pinned OP about creating work pages and ask there if you have other questions
(As for the video, it seems it got privated for whatever reason? But I found this:
Also the English site for Game Maker is up
