There are a lot of things that I could say in response to this. By far the most succinct of them, however, is:
"JAPAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!"

Ooh, me wants.

Ha, very meta. I like the idea a lot, though I wonder why they didn't go for multiplatform. Seems like that'd be a logical step for a game that personifies all three major consoles.
Also, I know the OS-tan's, er, bra size is determined by their system requirements (or RAM needs or something). I noticed that Wii-tan is considerably less, er, endowed, so... Are these character's respective, er, sizes determined by computing power? Because then they'd either have to be revised downwards as new consoles came out, or after a couple generations, you'd be able to use them as signaling devices for the Space Shuttle. Which would mean boob size would be an indicator of age. Which would be odd. >_>;

But somehow,◊Needs all the old era consoles, all of them.
edit: Concerning making a DS-tan, make her twins, and abuse the "Touching is GOOD" catchphrase.

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I'm tempted to say they should include the Phantom somehow.

Baal Prinny and Overlord Prier vs. Satan and the Demifiend? Hell yes. :D
But somehow,◊Meh, I'm not into cute. I'll wait for the one featuring Master Chief, the ISA(or Nathan Hale or Cole McGrath) and Link(and all associated characters from their universes) as the lead characters.
I am a proud member of the Western Federation's Anti-Japan Media Task Force. My work is very important.Did... did they just give credibility to Sega Fantasy VI?
I have a message from another time...I lol'd at Izaak's attempts to bring us this news.
Dear TV Tropes Forums... I'm sorry for leaving you for Gaia. Now I left Gaia and have an affair with Tumblr. Love, me.Moe anthropomorphism is so overdone. Pass.
I spent the first three posts thinking this was some sort of late April Fool's joke. I still don't quite get it—where is the market for this sort of game?
That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something AwfulAre you kidding? Moe + meta = perfect otaku bait. I'd totally get it if I had a PS 3.
I'm adding this to my list of reasons to get a PS 3.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia! This. I'm really sick of this "moé" nonsense.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.I'm wary. These sorts of weird premise JRP Gs always seem to focus on gimmick rather than making the game good.
Also, am I the only one who thinks, between the art and graphical style and the subject matter, this would make the perfect final game for the Ps2?
Anyone know who's publishing?
^Also, as I recall, the Neptune was the name for the standalone 32X

Oh God
I hate this
Huh. I didn't know NIS was involved in the development of this... this. What's their role?

Well, it seems it's Otomedius all over again, except with Moe Anthropomorphised game consoles. Coming to PS 3 only, however.
Official Site
Watch the trailer - the first three girls are, in order, Wii, PS 3, and the 360.
Neptune is set in the video game business world where Neptune, the protagonist, has to thwart the Goddess Magicon. (note: Magicon are a term used for DS flash carts in Japan.) The twist is Neptune is a video game console, more specifically a moe personified video game console. Basically, you’re a console that can transform into a beautiful girl.
Other than the video game world setting, Neptune has all of the makings of a standard RPG – quests, dungeons, and leveling up.
Neptune is due in stores this summer in regular and limited edition packages. While the game has not been announced in North America, Compile Heart seems to be shopping for a publisher. At GDC, Neptune was on their behind closed doors product list.

Bah, if only I actually had a PS 3. Interesting premise, I wonder what comes out of it.
