The Recent Update thread on the forums. I'll go get a link; he stepped into the debate.

I think Bec is the mutant kitten.

Bec could be Jaspers. It seems possible that he could have been appearified to Jade's house by some freak accident, and then someone tried to transport him back. Maybe he was disheveled because Jade tries to teleport "Bec" to Rose in an attempt to save him from the meteor (that underground lab thing being some sort of safehouse) but misses the target completely.

While I am on a roll here, I've got another tinhat theory JUST FOR YOU. Since Rose's mom is clearly some sort of Mad Scientist and Jaspers is probably sentient, I propose that Jaspers is actually Rose's dad stuffed into a cat body by an experiment gone wrong. If he used to be a person important to Miz Lalonde, that explains the "absurd funeral service," the mausoleum, the ectobiology cloning thing and the fact that Jaspers is an apparently talking cat who wears tuxedos.

Someone on the forums made a neat little Homestuck game. Check it out! It's pretty fun.

Just got caught up on Homestuck because of a friend's fanart. Pretty glad I did. Jade is quite possibly the cutest character to have ever cuted (the glasses, skirt, and buck teeth help, I think). I don't think the ramifications of her Strife scene hit me, because I saw it as Jade play-fighting with doll (for some reason it never occurred to me that he was taxidermied), and I spent way too long hitting every key on my keyboard to see what cute spazzes I could make her do. I did the same thing for the flute. God damn Jade is adorable.

The other characters are also quite likable in their own ways. John's a lovable doofus, Rose kind of has that Only Sane Man feel while being Not So Above It All, and Dave...is Dave. I really can't explain why I like him, but I do.

I found the easter egg in "[S] Rose: Fast forward to now." It's actually pretty easy to find. It's also hilarious.

I think it's funny, but I liked the music even more. Isn't it from some other movie?

Although this fanart brings up something a friend of mine had mentioned and I've been thinking about: has it ever been stated outright that John wears glasses? He has Nerd Glasses in his character page, but looking quickly between him and Jade, it occurs to me that he might just have square eyes. It's not like we have other males to compare him to, because Dave's eyes are obscured, Rose and Jade are female and might have a different style, and all of the adults have no eyes.

Then again, John just seems like the kind of guy who'd wear glasses. It just kinda "feels" like he does.

So, yeah, I like MSPA. As much as it seems like Andrew is trying to go as far Beyond the Impossible as he (im)possibly can with Jade, I'm still quite liking it. Maybe it's because the Bec strife felt like even more of an RPG parody to me than the other strife pages. I mean, as crazy as it was, you can't say you haven't seen something crazier in another RPG somewhere!
