Decided I might as well watch the OVA. Halfway through the first episode. Kyosuke and Phantom seem a bit OOC (they're both very ruthless here), and the Minamoto brainwashing thing strikes me as a horribly cliched plot twist ("Darkness Knight"? Really?). I suppose this might turn out well, though. Come to thing of it, Kyosuke's portrayal here is basically how he behaved when he was first introduced.

Now that I've finished all the chapters (although not the OVA), I might as well start a thread about this manga in the Anime and Manga forum.

I've finished the OVA. It was just one episode. It had one somewhat-important plot development (Kaoru removing brainwashing without the boost device), but was otherwise rather forgettable.
