Character in question, is introduced as the victim of a Domestic Abuser and goes out by being Stuffed into the Fridge. Is that about right?
That seems... unfortunate.

Hmm...
This is a rather depressing turn of topic...
...
Hypothetical situation time!
Super Scourge vs Turbo Tails!
Who would win?
A fabulous pink Deus Ex Machina powered hedgehog or a hard gay Deus Ex Machina powered fox...
Well I can at least look at Super Scourge without immediately bursting into laughter so that's a plus on his end...
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahNot Titan Tails, Turbo Tails. You know, his good transformation. The one with the red cape and gloves.
Also, Super Scourge isn't pink. He's purple. Darkish purple. The inverse of gold.

Oh that one. Well he's ok. I like his cape.
Nothing's really wrong with him. I just think his super form is a bit funny looking being a pinkish purple thing with shoes with pink trim. Hyper Knuckles is silly looking for similar reasons. I just think pink is silly looking really.
Scourge is much more badass looking when he's just a green bitch.
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahTo answer a poster from above concerning a certain character, that is indeed the gist of the situation. She was presented as having been manipulated by an abusive boyfriend and after that was dedicated to moving on in her life and atone for her mistakes.
So yes, that does in fact make her apparrant death rather unfortunate on a multitude of levels, in-story and out of it.
Except he's not pink. Not even a little. He's that shade of purple often used in other works to differentiate Unleaded darkness from Regular darkness.
The comics equivalent of PTSD.He looks pinkish to me in every picture of him I've seen. We likely just perceive colors just a wee bit different.
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahReally, though, Hershey, and everyone else, was in trouble the moment Ian Flynn took over.
This is my one complaint about him: He screws with the characters who aren't Sonic too much. As a key example... whose archenemy is Mammoth Mogul? And who's the Chosen One? Anyone reading this thread probably knows the answer without even thinking, but apparently Ian decided that Tails shouldn't be a hero in his own right, and Mogul is "destined to fail" because "fate conspires" to put Sonic in his way. Nevermind that Sonic has actually done pretty much nothing to Mogul, ever, compared to Tails who's beaten him directly at least twice once. And yet, under Ian's direction, Mogul easily mind-controls the one who's actually established as destined to defeat him, and then proceeds on a campaign of passive-aggressive vengeance against Sonic.
How about 25 Years Later? That sure was a thing. Quality aside, Ian's entry into it introduced a prime example of screwing with characters. King Shadow? Ruler of the entire world? Got taken down before we even knew what had happened? There was even another arc in Sonic Universe that STILL didn't explain anything. What did Shadow do as king? How was his reign oppressive? Why did Mobius still flourish under him? Aside from some sort of theocracy worshiping Maria having been established, these things are never explored. WHOOPS, here's this guy, he used to be a bad guy but then he was a good guy but now he's a bad guy again! Why? WOULDN'T YOU LIKE TO KNOW! Seriously, what? Was he afraid Shadow wouldn't be evil enough if we knew the details? That the story might be controversial? We're just told that this side is wrong and he backs it up by making them assholes and villains rather than letting us judge for ourselves. There's a good chance we'd still have favored the heroes if you actually told us the story that you're telling, Ian.
But, in the end, it's all worth it, for moments like this.
The comics equivalent of PTSD.
So... when are they going to release #223 digital? I'm a supporter of digital distribution, but Archie is making it difficult.
The comics equivalent of PTSD.Mmmh did anyone notice how Ian SUBTLY recycles his Other-M fancomic in the SU series ?
Jesus, not this shit again.
So mostly off-topic but have you guys heard about Archie's new Mega Man comic line? Slightly on-topic by virtue of Flynn and "Spaz" writing and drawing it respectively.
You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person.^Here's the url for the animated trailer. Though a new thread should probably be started for it.

Yeah, was planning on starting one when it actually came out.
You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person. In Sonic the Hedgehog #225, Sonic makes a deal with the Devil.
The comics equivalent of PTSD.^ Let's hope that never actually happens...
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.225 spoilers are out. Tread at your own risk.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Gee, I wonder who kicked the bucket...
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows. My money's on Elias. With him dead they pretty much have to put Naugus in charge.
Couple questions:
1. So this Sonic Legacy thing. Is that just a black and white reprint of the archives or will they cover different issues?
2. How many archives do they plan on making? Until they catch up to the back order forms?
3. When is Sonic Select 3 out?

With regards to who apparently dies (it's kinda vague), it's Sally.
The Protomen enhanced my life. What, again? I hope it actually sticks this time...
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Excuse me?
Hey, I like a good status-quo shakeup...
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.
I'm hoping that the character was speaking figuratively, that Hershey being dead means 'dead to me', or something.
