This was too much fun to not do again

  • Opening Credits: Cold Piece - Jerry Cantrel ("Give up, Go 'way / He's not your's to save / And if you decide / He's not that kind / He's got a cold piece inside")
    • This sets an incredibly gritty picture.
  • Waking Up: R.K. Intro - Our Lady Peace ("Age of spiritual machines, ten to fifteen billion years ago the universe is born")
  • First Day Of School: Intro (Dream Sequence) - Alice in Chains (*Assorted screams/laughter*)
    • WHERE IN THE FUCK DID I GO TO SCHOOL?!
  • Falling In Love: Midnight Rambler - The Rolling Stones ("I'll steal your mistress from under your nose / Well, go easy with your cold fandango / I'll stick my knife right down your throat / Baby, and it hurts!")
    • A song about/from the perspective of Albert DeSalvo...
  • Fight Song: Nothin' - Robert Plant & Alison Krauss ("I stood there like a block of stone / Knowin' all I had to know / And nothin' more / Man, that's nothin'")
  • Breaking Up: Crime - Art of Dying ("I gave my freedom / Resigned it all to you / My only crime is loving you")
    • This sounds disfunctional beyond belief...
  • Prom: She - Green Day ("Are you locked up in a world that's been planned out for you? / Are you feeling like a social tool without a use? / Scream at me until my ears bleed / I'm taking heed just for you")
    • I get the feeling neither of us went to this prom.
  • Life's OK: The K.K.K. Took My Baby Away (Live) - The Ramones ("Ring me, ring me ring me up the President / And find out where my baby went / Ring me, ring me, ring me up the FBI / And find out if my baby's alive")
    • And this is as normal as it gets.
  • Mental Breakdown: One Gun - Lamb of God
    • Surprisingly opinionated for insanity
  • Driving: Exit - U2 ("He went deeper into black / Deeper into white / He could see the stars shine / Like nails in the night")
    • This is not a driving song by any stretch of the imagination
  • Flashback: Montsegur - Iron Maiden ("At the gates and the walls of Montségur / Blood on the stones of the citadel")
    • This is the most epic flashback I could've asked for
  • Getting Back Together: Promises Broken - Soul Asylum ("My mind is racing, take me home / My body's achin', so alone / I'll make you want to stay with me / befriended by the enemy one more time")
    • Desperation in musical form.
  • Wedding: Got The Life - Korn ("I don't feel your deathly ways / Each day I feel so hollow / Inside always beating me / You will never see / So come dance with me")
  • Birth Of Child: I'm Happy Just To Dance With You - The Beatles
    • Well this was meaningless
  • Final Battle: Paradise City - Guns N' Roses
    • This is either epic or epically stupid.
  • Death Scene: Rise of the Overman - Destrophy ("We are falling through the open / Can you hear them calling your name? / How can anyone suffer this fate?")
    • So either I was an evil man who was slain or I lost to an evil man and this is the consequence...
  • Funeral Song: Train in Vain (Stand by Me) - The Clash
    • Worst. Funeral. Ever.
  • End Credits: Little Bit Of Soul - Bon Jovi ("When you're mad at the world and you feel like you're losing control / All you need to get by is a little bit o soul ")
    • By this point people shuffle awkwardly out of the theater...

All things considered, that was a pretty lousy life.

[up][up]You posted this a long while before I got here and probably aren't here now, but on the off-chance you're reading this, absolute brofist for Circle Pit

Anyway, I remember these, mainly 'cos I once got a stupidly appropriate one; let's see if I can get another good 'un

Opening Credits: Crystal Castles - Suffocation
(Okay, that's an interesting one to start with...)

Waking Up: Neil On Impression - Glarontrlkla
(ooh, this works well)

First Day Of School: Ludovico Einaudi - Lady Jane
(definitely going well so far, seems I'm having a rather idyllic first day of school. I'd rather have this for the next one though)

Falling In Love: J Dilla - Airworks
(Funnily enough, this sort of works to, though I wasn't expecting it to...)

Fight Song: Northaunt - Might and Misanthropy
(Northaunt for the fight song? We must be fighting in slow motion in a darkened forest. Again, would be better for the next one)

Breaking Up: Venetian Snares - Chinaski
(... huh. Again, this shouldn't work but sort of does in an odd way...)

Prom: Jethro Tull - Pibroch (Cap in Hand)
(My prom is pretty awesome for playing Jethro Tull. Must be a hell of a folky prom. I'm definitely getting an 'idyllic rustic country life' feel from this thus far)

Life's OK: The Mars Volta - Tetragrammaton
(God damn it, this should've been the next one. THIS SHOULD'VE BEEN THE NEXT ONE SO SO HARD.)

Mental Breakdown: Aphex Twin - Pulsewidth
(Can I just switch this one and the one above? Pl0x. Just imagine they're the other way 'round. Either way I don't appear to be in the countryside now)

Driving: Kashiwa Daisuke - Rabbit's Quartet
(This is the absolute opposite of a driving song. IT STARTED SO WELL)

Flashback: Zoviet France - Wadis
(One hell of a weird flashback this is...)

Getting Back Together: Drive Like Jehu - Spikes To You
(Yes, this mid section has turned out entirely inappropriate. WHYYYY)

Wedding: Ceephax Acid Crew - Royal Lounge
(I'm having an acid house wedding? SWEET.)

Birth Of Child: Radiohead - My Iron Lung
(I actually think this sort of works. Maybe we're back on track now)

Final Battle: Animals as Leaders - Song of Solomon
(OH GOD YES THIS MADE UP FOR THE ENTIRE CRAPPY MID-SECTION. I love you media player. This is so perfect. My final battle is badass.)

Death Scene: Genghis Tron - Recursion
(This also pretty much works absolutely fine. Yay!)

Funeral Song: Frank Zappa - Excentrifugal Forz
(best funeral EVER)

End Credits: Anton Webern - Entflieht auf leichten Kähnen for a-cappella choir, on a poem by Stefan George, op. 2
(well, that was certainly a curveball [lol])

Dipped in the middle but overall not too shabby; I like the BLAM of the Webern at the end and the AAL for the final battle was just pure [awesome].

The Life and times of Naney

  • Opening Credits: Waidmanns Heil - Rammstein (Odd)
  • Waking Up: Mehr - Rammstein (Lolwut)
  • First Day Of School: Go To Hell - KMFDM (Must be a lousy school)
  • Falling In Love: Godlike - KMFDM (o_0)
  • Fight Song: Ruffneck - The Freestylers (Works)
  • Breaking Up: Breathe - The Prodigy (INHALE)
  • Prom: Who's laughing Now? - Skinny Puppy (Quite the prom)
  • Life's Okay: Wrath - KMFDM (WHO'S THE ARTSY ANARCHIST? WHO'S THE MAGIC MASOCHIST?)
  • Mental Breakdown: Apathy - KMFDM (Works well)
  • Driving: Shake The Cosmic Dice - Variable Unit (Fail)
  • Flashback: The virus has spread - Atari Teenage Riot (Quite the flashback)
  • Getting Back Together: Pump It Up - Girl Talk (Wut)
  • Wedding: On and On - Girl Talk (Again: Wut)
  • Birth Of A child: Ich Tu Dir Weh - Rammstein (What. The. Fuck.)
  • Final Battle: Dance Hall Vibes - The Freestylers (I guess...)
  • Death Scene: The Legacy - Test Dept. (Works)
  • Funeral Song: Cleveland, shake - Girl Talk (SHAKE THAT ASS, BITCH, AND LET ME SEE WHAT YOU'VE GOT.)
  • End Credits: Make Me Wanna - Girl Talk (Wut)

That was bizarre.

The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.

Last time I did this (on another forum), it ended up being very, very strange. (Probably because my collection is nearly 100% Vocaloid.) Let's see how it goes this time:

SHORTCAKE'S LIFE STORY

Opening Credits: The Confusion of Hatsune Miku (Delightful. A depressing song already.)

Waking Up: We are POP CANDY! (Much better, although I have a feeling that the opening credits are there for foreshadowing.)

First Day Of School: Haruichi (That is an inappropriately happy song for school.)

Falling In Love: You are like me, I am like you (I guess that's my reason for falling in love.)

Fight Song: Two-faced Lovers (I would say that my iPod has a mind of its own, but whenever I do a Level Breaker happens.)

Breaking Up: Paranoid Doll (...Did the breakup really scar me that badly?)

Prom: Cheap Time Disco (I guess it did.)

Life's OK: Blackjack (Apparently, "Life's OK" means "I have become a whore".)

Mental Breakdown: Love is War SignaRemix (And now I am a Yandere. Hooray?)

Driving: Out of Step (It's a surprise that I'm even allowed to drive after all this.)

Flashback: Paradichlorobenzene (That's not a flashback, that's how nearly everything is after the breakup.)

Getting Back Together: STEP TO YOU (I suppose that's a nice change from the "I HATE EVERYTHING GRR" mentality of my songs lately.)

Wedding: When the Swindlers Start Laughing Out (Uh...I guess it wasn't a very good wedding...? NSFW-ish, by the way.)

Birth Of Child: Doll of Building Blocks (I can't make out what happened through all the symbolism and strangeness, but I guess it wasn't good.)

Final Battle: F**K You PTA (Yes! Everything is the PTA's fault! Also the video might be NSFW, if that wasn't obvious.)

Death Scene: Ronde of Possible World (Surprisingly calming for a death scene. I guess that's what death is like?)

Funeral Song: Dummy Dummy (There's someone pretending to be me? Considering how this thing has portrayed me, that might not be a good idea.)

End Credits: Chicken's Nocturnal March (Don't know the lyrics, but I doubt it's relevant in any way.)

Well that was psychotic. It wasn't nearly as interesting as last time (which featured psycho!me betraying and returning to my boyfriend repeatedly before a rap about food completely killing the mood), but strange nonetheless.

Well, here goes.

Opening Credits: "What you feel"-Hinton Battle, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Musical. (Groovin way to open a movie)

Waking Up: "Beast (7 Bastard Suck)"-Virgin Prunes (So I either just woke up form a nightmare or I'm in a David Lynch movie).

First Day Of School: "Track 2"-Durarara Drama CD (So everyone around me is speaking Japanese. Odd.)

Falling In Love:"Billet Doux"-John Zorn (It could work in a shy, awkward kind of romance.)

Fight Song:"Fairy Tail Main theme-Metal Version". (Gets the Blood Pumping. Nice music to punch someone in the face to.)

Breaking Up:"Psycho theme"-Bernard Hermann (Well....This won't end well).

Prom:"Wormy Eyes"-Lawnmower deth (Moshing at the prom is now permitted.)

Life's OK: "Ride on Shooting Star" -FLCL OST (skipped to this one)

Mental Breakdown: "Dry"-Tsutchie, Samurai Champloo OST (Somewhat reversed, but with an underlying tension. I can see it).

Driving:"Vinushka"-Dir En Grey (Got nothing to say to this one.)

Flashback:"Interrupted by Fireworks"-FFVII soundtrack (Fitting.)

Getting Back Together:"Theme-John Zorn, Film-works (Getting back together involves what sounds like mimicking ape grunts and armpit farting noises. Classy.)

Wedding:"Billy"-Lawnmower Deth (So apparently I married a guy)

Birth Of Child:"Blood Ritual"-John Zorn (So apparently I have rosemary's baby and I don't know how, given the above).

Final Battle:"Grin"-Coroner ("Until I lose" indeed)

Death Scene:"Her Silence"-Sculptured ( That works very well honestly.)

Funeral Song: "Rain"-Yoko Kanno, sung by Mai Yamane (Another good one.)

End Credits: "The Real Folk Blues"-The Seatbelts (*Snerk* This amuses me greatly).

I always enjoy these.

ABNDT's Life Story

Opening Credits: "I Dreamed a Dream," Les Misérables (This bodes not well.)

Waking Up: "Batman to the Rescue," Film/Batman OST (That's more like it!)

First Day Of School: "Sanctuary!" The Hunchback Of Notre Dame OST (Yeesh, school is vicious.)

Falling In Love: Menu Theme #2 from Super Smash Bros Melee (I...love fighting?)

Fight Song: "Giving Muntz the Bird," Up OST (Come on, iPod. I have so many kickass fight themes and you choose this?)

Breaking Up: "Time of the Falling Rain," A Link To The Past OST (sort of works, but I would have expected something more melancholy)

Prom: Grim Dark Future remix from Dawn Of War II OST (Best prom ever?)

Life's OK: "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor," Bach (Muahahahaha!)

Mental Breakdown: "Following Tzipporah," The Prince Of Egypt OST (Awfully calm breakdown)

Driving: "Symphony No. 7, Scherzo," Beethoven (Must be driving somewhere in spring)

Flashback: "Accu-Flashback," Kung Fu Panda OST (About as fitting as it gets)

Getting Back Together: "In the Bed," Coraline OST (bow chicka wow wow!)

Wedding: "You've Got a Friend in Me," Toy Story 2 OST (sort of works)

Birth Of Child: "Crystal," A Link To The Past OST again (I knew childbirth was strenuous, but defeating Helmasaur King is a little excessive, no?)

Final Battle: "The Queen and her Group Sneak Back to the Palace," The Phantom Menace OST (THIS IS FIFTEEN SECONDS OF SEMI-SNEAKY. YOU FAIL AT FIGHT MUSIC, IPOD)

Death Scene: "666," The Final Conflict OST (Ouchies! Those daggers hurt!)

Funeral Song: "Symphony No. 5, Allegro Con Brio," Beethoven (sweet funeral, at least)

End Credits: "Ordinary Pain," Soul Calibur II OST (meh)

DD II: Electric Boogaloo

Opening Credits: 'Prosthetics', Slipknot (So apparently I'm a serial killer. WAY TO SPOIL THE BIG REVEAL! Yeah that means you, #3)

Waking Up: 'Corduroy', Pearl Jam (Today I'm going to make a class-action lawsuit against a big corporation. And lose. It's kind of a hobby of mine. Also killing, which I wouldn't have to mention if it weren't for COCKNOSE AND HIS BLABBERMOUTHING KETTLE DRUMS OVER THERE!).

First Day Of School: 'The Arrival Of Dana', Morrigan (Under a cloud of ravens, I lead my army of the fell undead against the school. Unfortunately our marching is off rhythm so the admins win this round).

Falling In Love: 'Temple Of Love', Sisters of Mercy (So the cloud of ravens thing attracts the attention of this goth girl. She tries to teach me the benefits of absinthe and Anne Rice, and I share my love of goat bile and writing. She ran away screaming after reading my latest journal entries. We are so dating.)

Fight Song: 'Under Rotting Sky', Khanate (As a rule, I don't fight. I'm fine with slowly torturing my enemies, or anyone really, to death in a secret chamber deep underneath my house though).

Breaking Up: 'Daydreaming', Massive Attack. (So I went on this date, and this girl...Wormwood or Enoby or some kind of plant, I think she called herself, was there. As was half the police force. I managed to escape the dragnet and hid out in a club. Got mad lifted on the new paint job. Good times.)

Prom: 'Fixing A Hole', The Beatles. (They picked the Sixties as a theme. Goddamnit I'll never get to wear jorts non-ironically now. I'm fixing a hole...in your ASS!)

Life's OK: 'Get Out', Faith No More. (All of a sudden, things are good. No rains of squid. No all-body nervous tics. It's...so...BORING! Time for some larceny.)

Mental Breakdown: 'It Wasn't Me', Shaggy (As it turns out, what I thought was psychosis-fuelled antisociality was merely a case of moderate satyriasis. Giggety giggety goo.)

Driving: 'Stone Breaker' Corrosion Of Conformity. (My car has this bumper sticker that reads ' JESUS LOVES ME, BUT HE FREAKIN' HATES YOU ' that I like to think gets a few laughs here and there. Now if only my car was a horse...)

Flashback: 'Papa Don't Take No Mess', James Brown. (Damn was I a fashion victim back then. I wasn't fly, I was more of a fluoro slug).

Getting Back Together: 'I Wanna Rock', Twisted Sister. (DD and Snapdragon, reunited and it feels so good! Well, I don't know how she feels about it, but she's not feeling very much due to the morphine coma. I'm sure she'll understand when she wakes up.)

Wedding: 'Fade to Black', Metallica. (Well, it's official. Today Chrysanthemum is now my wife! She didn't seem too happy though, because she tried to hang herself in the kitchen, but the rope snapped so she scratched my face and ran into the bedroom crying. Best day ever :D.)

Birth Of Child: 'Ghost of Perdition', Opeth. (So I was supposed to welcome little Ronald Phlyag'thagkch von Basterd into the world today, but he ate Daffodil and the nursing staff before I curbstomped him to death. Whatever, I'm off to the pub).

Final Battle: 'Big-Jesus-Trash-Can', The Birthday Party (This hobo that lives in the drainage pipe near my house is actually Archangel Michael on holiday, and today he gets all pissed about my bumper sticker and decides he wants to duel me to the death. Here we are, him with his dead cat and me with my pool noodle when...you won't believe this...he gets run over by an SUV! Turns out the heavenly choir doesn't know about road safety. Who would've thought?)

Death Scene: 'The Chain' Fleetwood Mac. (So the script calls for me to die of sorrow from all the people I've killed and betrayed or some shit. Screw that. I'm writing my own ending, with napalm skates and kangaroo mechs and all that is awesome).

Funeral Song: 'The Way Out Is Through' Nine Inch Nails. ( It's dark. Absolutely dark. I stretch out my hand and cannot see it. Then I realise there's nothing to see. No body. Only spirit. This is limbo. This is purgatory. An eternity to count my evils. An eternity to craft my own hell. Or, if there is some grain of mercy in this cold tomb, an eternity to search for the dot of light that may lead me to forgiveness. NAPALM SKATES!)

End Credits: 'Bombtrack' Rage Against The Machine (And then #3 puts my head through a kettle drum while the suits from the corporation I tried to sue at the beginning of the movie kick me to death. What assholes).

Some liberties were taken with the source material, needless to say.

Final Battle: "Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!" - Vengaboys

I find this incalculably hilarious

also @Zudak, that last one was damn awesome. I want it. anyway...

SUNSHINE WEREWOLF II 1/2: THIS TIME IT'S IMPERSONAL

Opening Credits: The Sound of Animals Fighting - Horses In The Sky
And we've already established that my life is probably going to be batshit crazy. Nice job!

Waking Up: SPK - Israel
Okay, so I wake up and find that I'm in some sort of futuro-industrial hellhole. Good start!

First Day Of School: The Dead Texan - Girth Rides a (Horse)+
... but apparently, my school is lovely and relaxing and is on a pretty idyllic platform in the sky; just pity I appear to live in the middle of a factory

Falling In Love: Gregor Samsa - Lessening
Startlingly appropriate, this. Evidently I'm falling in love with some ethereally beautiful and melancholic person.

Fight Song: Arktau Eos - Nether-Desert Iris
... and, it seems, I fight with some sort of occult Eastern black magic. Nice.

Breaking Up: The Caretaker - Memory 39
But then I am forced to break up with said ethereally beautiful person after they develop theoretically pure anterograde amnesia. That's a shame.

Prom: Paysage d'Hiver - Gefrorener Atem
Instead of going to prom and have to relive the memories of my first love now stricken with amnesia, I hole myself away in a dark and frozen forest with my new occult black magic buddies and kill small animals. The fun never ends!

Life's OK: Striborg - The Radiance of Hate Emanating From Within
Surprisingly, myself and my occult black magic buddies make a decent living from selling charms to local villages and threatening farmers with hexes, and so are able to live happily in the forest staring moodily at churches, sacrificing virgins and playing Warhammer 40,000.

Mental Breakdown: The Sound of Animals Fighting - Interlude
Unfortunately, the introduction of proper technology to the forest means we are unable to make a proper living as occult black magic folk any more, driving us into extreme poverty and me into my mental breakdown.

Driving: Burial - Etched Headplate
Unable to live in the forest any longer, I move into a big city and work as a nighttime taxi driver, with the absolute perfect soundtrack (seriously, thanks for that one, Winamp :3)

Flashback: Suffer Like G Did - Reload! Reload!
A nice little flashback to the happy days of my life and being in love with beautiful amnesia person. (Incidentally, track number 1337 in my library; this obviously means that said person has recovered from amnesia and now works as a professional game reviewer)

Getting Back Together: Nobuo Uematsu - Mods de Chocobo
And we duly meet again and bond over our shared love of the chocobo sections of Final Fantasy VIII, happily falling back in love (honestly, I wrote all the prior section before this one came up. Seriously. So perfect [lol])

Wedding: Archive - Funeral
Game reviewing doesn't make much money, so unfortunately we're forced to hold a combination funeral-wedding to save on cost. It is still, however, a happy day. Sort of. Except for the family of the guy who died. They just find it a bit disrespectful.

Birth Of Child: Emancipator - Father King
Once again, ridiculous appropriateness strikes, as I become a father. And, with this news, I find out that everyone ahead of me in line to the throne of England has mysteriously died of a heart attack, leaving me as both a father and king. Not turned out bad at all! And black magic occultery had nothing to do with it. I swear.

Final Battle: Onra - One Day
Eventually, I am attacked by angry Vietnamese monarchist hip-hop artists for the assassination of the entire royal family which I definitely did not carry out, and am unable to fight them all off.

Death Scene: The Mars Volta - Cassandra Gemini IV
Duly, I am killed in a suitably psychedelic fashion, as I somehow manage to overdose on LSD and kill myself just before my head if stoved in by an angry Asian rapper. Or it might have been a walking fridge with seventeen eyes, I'm not sure.

Funeral Song: ナイトメア - the WORLD
My ethereally beautiful wife (I'm assuming it's wife, since we had a kid), now moved on to reviewing anime, insists on having the theme from Death Note played at my funeral. For some reason. She is inexplicably dressed as Misa. Perhaps I avoided a worse fate dying when I did

End Credits: El Grupo Nuevo de Omar Rodriguez-Lopez - Warren Oates
And the end credits duly cut back to my crazy psychedelic LSD fantasies, which have stretched out the last moments of my life so much that I am now eternally experiencing acid trip hallucinations. With Zach Hill drumming in the background. Thus ends the story of my life.

[lol][lol][lol][awesome][awesome][awesome]

@Zudak, that last one was damn awesome. I want it.

It was mostly pretty good, but I have to admit I called a mulligan on "mental breakdown" so I could have it set to Squarepusher. tongue

Also, I had pretty much the goofiest wedding ever.
