Sometimes I want to start a conversation but I don't know where it belongs. Right now, for example, I'd like to create a topic called "cheese you like anyway" (i.e. stuff that's corny, but enjoyable). Trope Talk appears to not be the place for it, but I want this to be cross-medium, so gamers, moviegoers, readers, and so on can all chime in with examples, across all media, of stuff that fits the topic.

But there's no "media in general" forum, and Trope Talk isn't the correct place for it, so how about a forum where people can talk about multiple forms of media in general, or ideas that appear in multiple media, rather than have to post the same topic in animation, video games, etc.?

My best guess would be On-Topic Conversations; failing that, it could always go in Yack Fest.

When in doubt, go with Yack Fest, or OTC if you really want to conversation to stay on-topic.

I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.

^^ and ^ Yack fest is for any topic at all, but derails are allowed and very common. OTC in Real-ish is for any topic at all, but we'll try much harder to keep to the stated topic.

The thing is, neither of those forums are specifically about media, but can be about anything. So I think having an additional forum, one for "Mixed Media" or "Cross Media" or "Multiple Media" would help.
