Have you guys tried Technos Country Cross?
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheDsMan1^ can't say I've heard of it...
Maybe we should just list off every game in the series?
Please do :D
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Lets see... I just type in "Kunio" into the search bar on Game Faqs and get...
Other than River City Ransom, it seems there were soccer, basketball, volleyball, ice hockey, samurai, street olympics, numerous other beat-em-ups and.... Double Dragon 2? WHUT?

Double Dragon 2 was a Dolled-Up Installment of a linear Kunio Kun beat em up. It's a bit more similar to Renegade. Linear progression, no RPG elements. Not that great, but not too bad either.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI...... Ok I feel like an idiot for not having seen the Kunio Kun page sooner. It has all the games listed there.
Hey, guys. Here's a link showing some a good remix of Super Dodgeball songs.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGRmuzycv4A&feature=watch_response
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheDsMan1I would have liked to hear a remix of the Bean Ball mode, but man that sounds good.
I also like how much the series has a few reoccurring riffs, if not just similar sounding tracks throughout the series. Usually it's the first stage's theme from Renegade, or Renegade's ending theme (which you can hear in River City Ransom EX.
I like Renegade's rockabilly feel in its soundtrack. Wish someone made a remix of those songs.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Hey, guys! here's a link to a Kunio Kun manga! Hope you enjoy!

Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheDsMan1So, lots of news that was never mentioned here.
River City Ransom: Underground, the Kickstarted licensed fan-made sequel has a release date of 2/27/2017. That's exciting.
And then we've got a new 3DS game (well, came out in November, but for this thread... it's new) called River City Tokyo Rumble, set in... well, Tokyo. Just ordered it off of Amazon and I'll just post my thoughts (and maybe make a page for it). Seems to be suuuuuuuuuuuper classically inspired, with characters looking more NES-y than GBA-y, so they're going for a major retreaux vibe.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Good news: The next chapter in the River City saga has been announced! Also good news, depending on your perspective: It's a Gender Flip developed by WayForward and Arc.
English gameplay trailer
Japanese trailer:
Here's hoping for a character with Trish or Jolyne colors. Because Jojo.
Oh god. Oh god oh god.
I want this so bad. It looks sooooo goooood. And that animated sequence of Misako and Kyoko going Back-to-Back Badasses is probably the best three-second choreography you could ask for.
(Wayforward really perfecting that "Vaguely sexualized saturday morning cartoon" look)
So I know nothing about this series but I saw the trailer for the newest game and I'm interested. Is this a series where you need to play every game to understand what's going on or is it more like Pokemon wherein it shares a universe but you can play in any order/pick and choose which entries to play?
It's not very story heavy at all. I'd recommend the other games, because they're fun. Not because they have vital story beats.
To sum it up, though: "a bad dude kidnapped your girlfriend. Beat up everyone between here and there.
Followed by "the bad dude was busted out of jail years later. Beat up everyone between here and there."
Ironically the Kunio series does have decades of stories, well over a hundred characters and dozens of games...
And none of it is important. It's just about some high school toughs and their day-to-day posturing. I honestly expect River City Girls to contain more Shout Outs to Shantae and Mighty Milky Way than Nekketsu games.

So is this really a Gender Flip or is it a now the girlfriends get to save the day story?
Gotta check what the name of Kunio's girl is I guess.
Edit: And I was right. Misako and Kyoko already existed and were playable in Kuniotachino Banka.
Though Kyoko was Riki's girlfriend in that game, even though a different girl had that role in earlier games.

One Strip! One Strip! They were both delinquents that kicked as much ass as their guys, too.
Haven't played a ton of Kunio Kun but I'll probably pick this up.
The soundtrack for River City Girls will be done by NateWantsToBattle, Chipzel, Cristina Vee, and Megan McDuffee.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Kunio and Riki will be playable in "River City Girls". You unlock them after beating the game.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.I just noticed that in the bottom corner of the box art, you can see two girls who could easily be Hasabe and (Mami) Shimada.
The latter was Riki's original girlfriend, and the former seemed to be Kunio's Implied Love Interest until Misako came along.
I'm not sure if it's really them, but one girl has purplish hair that could be associated with Hasabe, and the other is a short haired blonde, which fits Shimada.
If I'm right, I'm wondering what they have planned for those two.
One Strip! One Strip! My guess is a joke about how they're the villains because Misako and Kyoko stole their boyfriends, but I honestly don't want that.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.
If you ever find the hockey game, you should play it. It's pretty funny. Challenging too... that is if you allow yourself to be challenged. You just really need to use a power shot to score a goal, then run around the rink until the timer runs out, which doesn't take that long.
