Hnnnnnnnnghhhh. This only raised more issues.

The whole Satoru (the one you play as) is the Self just makes things more confusing. The trying to revive/restore Sayaka I get. The possibility that Inubishi's (and Utsumi's) murderous tendencies aren't hers I get too. But no, that former theory is just confusing.

Granted, it explains the need to make a Stable Time Loop - to trap Self somewhere, somehow, as revenge... or maybe even that's Sayaka we're playing as, but with Satoru's memories.

Please excuse me if I got any names wrong, I haven't played this in a while and didn't get the endings related to the spoilers.

I actually already posted this in the video games forum before realizing that there was a board specifically for V Ns, but I'm just wondering if Remember11's Mac-compatible.

A note: during Kokoro's route, the text frame is red. During Satoru's, blue. Now take a look at that one flashback in the beginning (with Sayaka)...

I wanted to say, I've found a site with pretty good explanations for everything.

I recently watched a bunch of the Bad Endings on You Tube (too much effort and time to do in the actual game) and holy crap some of them are really depressing. Kokoro suicide, Ax-Crazy Yomogi really stuck out to me though.

I have a few questions for one of the earlier events in the game.

SPOILERS: How come you have to take the pills in order to MANAGE TO AVOID DROWNING in the bathtub? I was analyzing a bunch of plot points with knowing later plot points like the whole twins thing and this one got me confused.

Also: There was a scene where Satoru woke up poisoned. I saw a bad end where he died of it, what did he have to do to not.. die of it.

Finally: How exactly did the power go out in SPHIA again? Also when it was already out, who was the one trying to kill Kokoro in Satoru's body?

Re: Poison: Satoru dies if Kokoro decides to eat dinner on an earlier day. It happens because a twin-in-Satoru's-body takes Keiko's MAOI. I think Utsumi explains it later if you don't get the bad end.

Re: Power outage: I think the power went out because someone (Yuni or Enomoto, I think) switched it off. Kokoro notes it when she goes to turn it on again. And it may be that nobody actually tried to kill her — she may have cut her hand as one of the twins, and the "killer" never did anything during that sequence (don't remember that part well, though).

Re: Pills: I'm not completely sure, but I think the idea is that by taking the sleeping pills she falls asleep before the baby can drown itself. I mean... babies drown in baths. But it can't if she's unconscious on the floor of the bathroom.

I think when Satoru is being drowned in the Bad End, he feels the hands pushing him — i.e. someone is actually drowning him. Not sure though.

Perhaps, Schrödinger's Gun in action? Would be weird though.

I asked the pills question on Animesuki and someone gave an interesting theory:

That if you don't take the pills Twin!Satoru plays in the water, Twin!Inubushi hears Satoru (since if she doesn't she dances in Satoru's room) and goes in the bathroom, and unknowingly drowns Twin!Satoru while they play. Once they switch Inubushi is still drowning Satoru but probably doesn't realize till its too late.If you do take the pills Twin!Satoru is too tired to play in the bathroom and Twin!Inubushi doesn't hear him and doesn't go in the bathroom to drown him.
