I read that manga before Linkara covered it, since it was being sold at my local bookstore. It's definitely worth a read if you want something light-hearted.

I didn't know it was meant to tie in to another movie, but I think it can still be enjoyed even without knowing that.

A few years ago, I couldn't visit my family for Christmas because my dad got COVID (fortunately he only got a mild dose. Hooray for vaccines!) Over the holidays, I read this comic and played Bastion, a comic and a game which I'd had for a while but hadn't touched yet, so reading and playing them was like I was getting a present.

It is a good comic, and worth reading.

Also, Viga once again brings her A-game to a Christmas comic.
