I have an idea: a DCAU version of Superboy Prime. He starts off as a well meaning kid, but then starts discovering he has superpowers and a secret Kryptonian past. He gets the big entitlement complex, is rejected numerous times, and goes insane when his girlfriend is killed. He creates the Anti Monitor armor following this.
Does he still have all the powers of Pre-Crisis Superman? If so, no.
You'll probably have to put him to DCAU Superman levels.

yeah, DCAU Supes level. Some tropes for him include:
- Slasher Smile: his default expression after putting on the armor, mostly because he's anticipating Revenge by Proxy.
- Flying Brick: wearing a power charging armor...
- Insane Troll Logic: played DEAD Serious.
- The Dragon: To Callodes, a character of mine, at first. He then becomes The Dragon to Dogmata, and then becomes Time Trapper. Then again, everyone, their mother and their dog has been Time Trapper, as should be pointed out in a CMOF.
So is the Anti-Monitor suit just for cosmetics?
Sure, why not. Accepted.
yeah, its just cosmetic, and it keeps out the energy that makes him a normal person. With the armor on, he becomes Superman, but with some energy attacks related to the armor.
How about J'onn J'onnz? Would he be appropriate?
