Which is why the profile is workable. I noticed a lot of freshmen in my old high school tried to act crazy.

Scrye: It wasn't supposed to be and I hadn't even noticed that but hey that works.

I was just curious. The description matched so I wasn't sure if it was intentional or not.

So, what kind of clubs are there, anyway? Past the specifics, of course. (Just asking because at my old high school, there was a club for just about everything. Everything.)

I think you're allowed to write pretty much anything. I'm not sure what the DM is going for but the Premise reminds me a lot of Mahou Sensei Negima and they basically had clubs for everything.

  • Name: Alexis Yamamoto
  • Age: 17
  • Sex: Female
  • Grade: Senior
  • Appearance: Tall, dark brown eyes, shoulder-length jet black hair, quite attractive
  • Personality: Fairly kind, but prone to outbursts when stressed (which she usually apologizes soon after). Somewhat of a slacker and has a tendency to put things off until the last minute. Isn’t necessarily shy, but not the most outgoing person. Likes crashing parties instead of just attending one normally. Has a mischievous nature.
  • Friends: Has more “acquaintances” then “friends”. Is afraid she has problems developing deeper relationships. Tends to hang around all types of people, from the cheerleaders / jocks to the Goths to the nerds, etc. Hangs out with Chris, if only to get him to socialize more.
  • Clubs: Drama club, photography club, cooking club, art club
  • Hobbies: Singing, drawing and painting, acting (pretty much any artistic medium), listening to music (rock, pop, metal, rnb, hip-hop, country… basically everything.), playing pranks on people, video games
  • Background: Lives a relatively normal life with her parents (second generation Japanese immigrants), her little sister and her dog.
  • Classes (Don't fill this in yet):

  • Name: Christopher “Chris” Rowland
  • Age: 16
  • Sex: Male
  • Grade: Junior
  • Appearance: Light brown hair, blue eyes,
  • Personality: Quiet, tends to keep to himself. When spoken to, has a tendency to be blunt and somewhat terse. Can be somewhat condescending, but is kind to those that he’s familiar with. Seems to always be bored / apathetic. A self-proclaimed loner. Is prone to angsting.
  • Friends: Not many, the two most prominent being Alexis (who he has a slight crush on) and Robert, his best friend since elementary school.
  • Clubs: Literature club
  • Hobbies: Listening to his iPod, reading, watching old movies, anything retro
  • Background: Lives with his father (originally both parents before the divorce), bitter at both parents (angry at his father for being too strict and his mother for not being there for him).
  • Classes (Don't fill this in yet):

These are good so far, right? (I'm most likely going to make some revisions later)

The Literature Club is surprisingly popular. What do they do anyway?

I imagine they just discuss literature and whatnot. Like a book club, or something.

I was going to have a character from the Literary club and the Origami club, whose main skill would be making origami ninja stars and lobbing them at Demons and offering literal Deaths Of A Thousand Paper Cuts but then I realized that I described a short scrappy Irish kid so I made him focus on Soccer instead.

@Scholastica: Fuck if I know. I've never been in one. Sounds like a book club, though. Also, I find it ironic that someone named Scholastica is unsure about what a literature club does. The littlest things amuse me, it seems.

Edit: Oh, and both characters are approved.

Google search says; It's basically a book club.

Like the avatar, the name is a coincidence. And of all the clubs at my school I cannot recall there being a book club.

Fair enough. I have no idea what clubs my school had, except that the possibilities were endless. I swear to god, the following dialogue took place between one of my friends and a teacher.

Friend: "We were thinking of creating a pot-smoking club."
Teacher: "Absolutely not."
Friend: "How about a club where we, uh... discuss the morality of weed-smoking?"
Teacher: "That'll probably work. Who do you plan on having as a liaison?"
Friend: "[Name of well-known pot-smoking teacher.]"

  • Name: Buck Rivers
  • Age: 16
  • Sex: male
  • Grade: 10
  • Appearance: He may have once been quite pretty, but now he is very much a rough and tough type of guy. His blond hair looks sand blond and a little dirty. He has some Perma-Stubble going, has a very muscular look to him, and a few scars below the neck. He has serene blue eyes that contradict his other looks.

He usually wears a tank top that flatteringly shows his looks, a brown jacket, and black pants, and steel toed boots.

  • Personality: He has been described as being a rough person, not really all that social, and is very broody. He has an undeserved reputation of being Ax-Crazy, even though his "therapy" cured his craziness. He still, though, has certain killer instincts.
  • Friends: The Librarian Crystal Dowell, whom was secretly involved in Buck's spree killings. She is the Chessmaster who keeps Buck from damaging himself further. A case of Crystal being a Yandere who fell in love with an Ex-Ax Crazy Jerkass Woobie.

At the same time, the Obstructive Bureaucrat Student Government Official, the President of the special project division, Kurt Wilson, also seems to be rather taken with Buck. Though Kurt's a Smug Snake, there seems to be a darker turn to this snickering goon's interaction with Buck.

  • Clubs: not many people like him enough to admit him.
Hobbies
  • Background: Buck's life was perfectly normal, until one day, his father came home from drinking and a man who had one too many drinks took out his rage on Buck's father. That was when something snapped in the twelve year old boy. He picked up his father's gun and shot the drunk six times, and then ran off, randomly killing people "just for the rush". He was sent to a juvenile hall, only avoiding adult prison because of a very skilled attourney. He was then given therapy, thus averting a very common trope, and was released back into the school system once he was deemed stable. Despite his regrets, most people know about him due to the high publicity of his case.

Sooooo you want to play a 16-year-old but tough-as-nails serial killer in a lighthearted and goofy high-school RP?

never mind. I assumed by the title, well, name the light hearted and goofy stuff that involves the word apocalypse.

Not damn many.

That's kind of the point: Taking a normally dark, edgy, and serious situation and using it as a completely inappropriate backdrop for a slice-of-life goofy RP.

  • Name: Lyle Myles
  • Age: 17
  • Sex: Male
  • Grade: Junior
  • Appearance: Average height and build, freakishly neat black hair, serious features and dark brown eyes.
  • Personality: Focused, hard working and outgoing, the unfortunately named Lyle Myles puts his school activities ahead of almost everything else. Dangerously ambitious, he is not above lying, cheating, or manipulating others to get what he wants. He is able to loosen up while in the company of a few people, but he never gets very relaxed.
  • Friends: He has a wide circle of acquaintances, most of whom he doesn't actually like much, but there are several people he actually enjoys spending time with, including Theodora Rose and Jasmine Cross. Most of his sparse social time is spent with people on the School Newspaper and Yearbook Staff.
  • Clubs: Editor-In-Chief of the School Newspaper and the Yearbook, and is an extremely demanding boss. Also participates in Debate Club,
Tennis Club, Academic Achievers, Chess Club, and occasionally drops in on or collaborates with the A/V Club.
  • Hobbies: Collects antiques, listens to Jazz while doing work.
  • Background: Comes from a wealthy family, his father owns a successful publishing house. His parents have very high expectations of him, but he would deny that's the reason why he works so hard.
  • Classes:...

^^No, you don't have to, but I guess I figured clarifying the genre would help.

^ I guess the RP could be half light hearted/half serious. If it's too light hearted the apocalypse may as well not exist and if it's too serious then it will depress the shit out of everyone.

If I counted right that is 8 players and 11 characters. When will we start?
