"Weird doors open. People fall into things."I'm in.
Well, tell your friends. We can get this started.
Profiles:
Name
Age
Sex
Grade
Appearance
Personality
Friends (You can name specifics, such as other players or npcs, or you can just state the type of people/cliques your character hangs out with, or both)
Clubs
Hobbies
Background

I'm also tempted to say everyone's allowed to have two playable characters max, because I think this sort of game that would only benefit from it.
Now go forth and spread the word.
"True story, I came when I read Scrye's story, and so did everyone within five miles." —OOZE- Name: Lara Hoyle
- Age: 17
- Sex: Female
- Grade: Senior (I'm British, but I think that is the equivilant of Year 12)
- Appearance: White, brown eyes, long black hair with green stripes (dyed, of course). Has a small scar on her forehead from when she fell of a slide. Quite short for her age.
- Personality: Ususally happy and perky, but is easily angered by small things, such as grammar. A bookworm who can spend hours reading, she also has a slight kleptomania problem and cannot resist the urge to steal rubbers. Is addicted to video games.
- Friends: Hangs around with Goths, but tends to dip into the Cheerleader and Nerd groups when she gets too depressed. Hangs around with Dylan, her twin.
- Clubs: Poetry and Astromony.
- Hobbies: Meditation, reading to the elderly.
- Background: A normal, middle class citizen. Lives in her parents house, but looking for her own apartment. Secretly loves classical music, despite her "dark and brooding" looks. Was a genius at her old school, now she just hangs around reading and writing poetry.
- Classes: (Don't fill this in yet)
Now for Lara's twin, Dylan.
- Name: Dylan "Dildo" Hoyle
- Age: 17
- Sex: Female
- Grade: Senior
- Appearance: White, brown eyes, couple of inches taller than Lara. Has long blonde (natural) hair.
- Personality: Not as perky as Lara, but also not as hot headed. Has a habit of drinking energy drinks, loves horror films and is very genre savvy.
- Friends: Hangs around with the Cheerleaders and Lara.
- Clubs: Cheerleader, Drama.
- Hobbies: Chess, reading, origami. Plays the bass.
- Background: A normal, middle class citizen. Lives in her parents house, but looking for her own apartment. Holds the record for the number of ex boyfriends, hence her nickname "Dildo". Suprised everyone (including herself) when she won the Junior Chess Championship when she was 10.

Not bad. Junior is equivalent to grade 11, though. It goes freshman, sophomore, junior, and finally senior.
"True story, I came when I read Scrye's story, and so did everyone within five miles." —OOZEOh. Okay. I'll change it.
Interesting! Give me a bit and I'll come up with something.
So anyone think we should make a discussion thread for this now?
Also, I've made up my mind that there is a 2 character limit, because I really do think it'll only increase the fun factor for players. So if you have some good ideas for characters and can't decide on just one, worry not. I think I'm even going to make characters myself and play along. This isn't the kind of RP that would be hard to switch GMs around with.

"True story, I came when I read Scrye's story, and so did everyone within five miles." —OOZEOkay. I'll make another character who'll be a twin to my other one, just to add to the fun.
My own characters:
- Name: Jasmine Cross
- Age: 18
- Sex: Female
- Grade: Senior
- Appearance: Long, red hair. She is very pretty, but usually wears modest clothing. Green eyes.
- Personality: She's generally a very nice person, although she swears a lot more than you'd first expect. She's a bit of an over-achiever, which stems mostly from her habit of doing anything to look better for college. In the beginning of high school, she was a quiet and innocent wallflower, but slowly transformed into her current personality. She tries to help people as much as she can, but usually ends up taking on so many things at once that the stress gets the better of her.
- Friends: Is reasonably popular amongst most people, but tends to hang out with her boyfriend, Coop Shortman, and her best friend Alli, a cheerleader.
- Clubs: She is the VP of the Student Council, which means she has about as much power as the president of a real student council (None). She's also part of the Art club, Academic Achievers, Literature club, Debate team, Drama club, and at the request of Coop, the A/V Production club. Most of these are just to spice up her college application.
- Hobbies: Figure skating, acting, and listening to heavy metal. Can play the guitar fairly well.
- Background: For the most part, she's tried her hardest to live an average life. Most of her time is spent doing extra-curricular activities to put on her college application. She met her boyfriend, Coop, at the ice rink she frequents for figure skating. She's also a closet metalhead. Her parents are separated, and she lives with her dad, who is currently deployed. Instead of going to live with her mom and younger brother, she pulled some strings to stay at her current school due to all the extra-curricular activities she invested in for college, and so she currently lives alone in her house.

- Name: Cooper "Shorty" Shortman
- Age: 18
- Sex: Male
- Grade: Senior
- Appearance: Contrary to his nickname, he's average-to-tall sized. Has a decent build. Has messy brown hair, brown eyes, and a short goatee.
- Personality: Very much a slacker. He's laid back for the most part, but tends to be antagonistic for the sake of shits and giggles. Prefers keggers to homework. Highly critical of the education system. Loves to pull pranks and snark at inappropriate times.
- Friends: Mostly just hangs around with his friends from the hockey team. Has taken it upon himself to mentor Vili, the foreign exchange student. Also, his girlfriend, Jasmine.
- Clubs: Hockey team, Rugby team, A/V Production club, where he is the resident photoshop expert, although barely involved in any of their other projects.
- Hobbies: Ice hockey, rugby, partying, drawing offensive comic strips and leaving them around in the classrooms.
- Background: Shorty is a pretty unremarkable high school student. His claim to fame is being the undeniable enforcer on the school hockey team, and he joined the struggling unsanctioned rugby team as a way to further be involved with sports-related violence. He still doesn't know the rules. He is also the go-to guy in the school for causing mischief and mayhem, as he is kind of a mild IRL troll. While he doesn't mean well, he's actually very easy to be around. He mostly spends time finding ways to ditch class and go out by the JROTC building to smoke cigarettes. He can be sweet when he wants to, though, as evidence from landing a girlfriend like Jasmine. In stark contrast to her academic success, Shorty's GPA is in the shitter, and he has to pass his ____ class in order to graduate.

Let's see what anyone else's got. Come on, people!

"True story, I came when I read Scrye's story, and so did everyone within five miles." —OOZEEdited my post above to include more detail about Lara and created a second character.

Profile:
- Name: Theodora Rose
- Age: 15
- Sex: Female
- Grade: Sophmore
- Appearance: A short but fit body with long brown hair
- Personality: Bombastic and energetic, She dives in head first into anything with the intent to be helpful but sometimes sticks her nose where it doesn't belong. Can stubborn and unyielding which may or may not help her depending on the circumstances.
- Friends: More of an acquaintance then a friend with Jasmine Cross, they are both in the Literature club and Theodora often uses her as a source for insider information for the school paper, Hangs out more with her GE Club and Newspaper club friends.
- Clubs: Green Earth Club, Baseball Team, Literature Club, Newspaper Club
- Hobbies: Promoting whatever her passion of the moment is, baseball, talking, sewing, writing bad poetry.
- Background: Born early and developed a severe case of asthma that prevented her from doing much early in life. She has trained herself to overcome her initial weaknesses and now lives as lively as possible as if to make up for lost time. Despite her rambunctiousness she likes law and order and is disgusted over the enefficiant and corrupt school system.

Book Dumb, he sleeps through a lot of his classes, especially history.

- Clubs: Soccer, Occult [though no one outside of the Occult club knows about this].

Huzzah.
Goddammit.

- Name: Percy Y. Ro (real name Percival)
- Age: 14
- Sex: M
- Grade: Freshie
- Appearance: Percy looks like he hasn't slept in years, and that would be a pretty accurate assumption (see background). He has incredibly messy reddish-brown hair, grey eyes, and has numerous burns of various degrees all over his body.
- Personality: Niquil and Red Bull. Depending on when you talk to him, he can make L look energetic or Naruto look lethargic. Also is either mildly Book Dumb or has Obfuscating Stupidity down nicely. He's also a Pyromaniac.
- Friends: He doesn't really have a set group of friends; plenty of people know him, but he randomly changes who he hangs out with. Rumors abound it's because he's set a house on fire and doesn't want to get caught, but they're false. Usually.
- Clubs: Cooking (he can eat there), Frisbee, and the relatively unknown 'Swearing in multiple foreign languages' club.
- Hobbies: Setting things on fire, yo-yoing, fireproofing his clothes, learning to treat burns, setting himself on fire, making things that burn, making things that explode, making things that explode then burn... and avoiding studying.
- Background: Percy was orphaned by the apocalypse. Maybe, since his parents were known to be child-beaters. He's managed to keep this away from the school staff that would care, and as long as he doesn't look like a Holocaust corpse he isn't bringing too much attention to his minor malnourishment. He also has suffered from extreme nightmares since sixth grade, when his best and only friend committed suicide- he also developed a pathological fear of heights from the nightmares.

Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!You were orphaned pretty quickly. The apocalypse starts the first day of the rp.
"True story, I came when I read Scrye's story, and so did everyone within five miles." —OOZEHe's a pyro with abusive parents and a pretty demented mind. He doesn't exactly wait long for an excuse. Considering he's based a lot off me (with more emphasis on the crazy), he would have this pretty planned out.
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!In that case, you need help. We can probably work with this though, so its approved....
Also, @Scholastica: Out of curiosity, is your avatar supposed to be your character? It matches the description.

"True story, I came when I read Scrye's story, and so did everyone within five miles." —OOZEI don't need help. My parents aren't abusive, just political. And I don't share their political views (among other things), so I find them rather annoying. Not to the crazy extent Percy does, but then again, Percy is the token crazy freshman.
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!
Role Play
Discussion
Rules: Play By Post. No supernatural powers. All characters must be high school aged. Other than that, I really don't give a shit.
Plot and Setting: Everyone is a public high school student. It is an average day, and you all have a homework assignment due today. There's only one anomaly in this otherwise perfectly normal day: The legions of Hell are loose wreaking havoc on Earth, and the school system is so far up its own ass that school is still not canceled.
The school is pretty average, except for everything. The student council is insanely bureaucratic, and while technically powerless in it's own right, is granted absurd amounts of power by being the reluctant political puppet of the malicious and underhanded PTA. Student clubs seems completely overly specialized and belonging to certain clubs is pretty much a get-out-of-class-free card. Sports teams and their followings might as well be small religions. The JROTC is pretty much a fully functional military. The Yearbook Staff are all pretty much die-hard sleuths. The A/V club is basically its own news station itself. The cheerleaders practically celebrities. While no character, nor most of the student body, is bound by cliques and social circles, they exist almost to the point of almost Flanderization. And the school most clearly did not do very thorough background checks on their faculty.
So it's pretty much completely over the top. And there's still the Hell thing.
....And that's pretty much it. Those are the rules and all necessary information. Anybody want in?
