I think that's kinda the point. These two comics are shown from Kimiko's POV. Of all the characters, Kimiko is probably the most grounded in "mundane" reality (even more so than Piro). The whole point is that all this stuff is happening, and her SEP vision dismisses it as nothing out of the ordinary.
The Philosopher-King ParadoxOh yeah. That is Miho alright.
That woman has a little fang in the last panel.
Also, Miho can give some good Death Glares.
I think a new player has entered Miho's sphere of influence. Yuki, I hope you're up for this.
I have a half formed theory. Miho is a thing that needs people to play games against it. Some kind of faerie? Anyway, people who realised how fun it was to play against them, assuming you survived, started to create games of their own to simulate it in a safe environment.
^^ She also has fox/cat/wolf ears. And an accent (probably meant to be Kansai).
Also, although it makes perfect sense for this to happen, I'm kind of annoyed that Yuki is letting Miho change the topic like this. So far, we've heard both Piro and Miho's side of the story, but both of them are about as far from unbiased toward each other as it is possible to be; I was looking forward to hearing an outside perspective on their relationship. And goddamn, when are we going to find out what was in those chat logs.

The Philosopher-King ParadoxWell, the cat ears seem to be part of a hat, while the prominent fangs are permanent.
Edit: Those ears seem to be oddly expressive. Look how they change posture in the last panel. Are they actual ears? I have a hard time fitting that in, even considering the setting.

I guess they could be fake fangs, although I leaning the ears and the fangs being real? Actually, I have no idea. The drooping ears in the last panel threw me off.
Bitch Miho comes out again/for the first time.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.... is it just me, or has the art style changed rather sharply lately?
Yeah. I find that I'm confusing Miho and Yuki at a glance.
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityFred's hatching has changed between then and now,but I can't see much difference in the linework, nor even between 1251 and now. Generic cuteness was always a problem.

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.Oh. Miho doesn't have her ribbons. That's what's causing the confusion.
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityThe character designs haven't been throwing me off. It's odd how the aloof and trickster Miho seen earlier is very different from the snide and angry Miho seen now.
I have to admit, I still need to have this chapter spelled out for me.
You know, not everyone has the same emotion all the time. People do get angry and annoyed and upset, even cool trickster types.
Miho has built her entire life around acting; playing a part. What we're seeing now is what happens when she doesn't have a script to work off of.
The Philosopher-King ParadoxMiho's hair is proof that something weird is going on since she now has a very long ponytail once more, which she couldn't have grown so quickly.
^ You mean you only just now caught on that there's something unusual about Miho?

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.Add one to the list of things that Yuki has stolen.
Ah. So I didn't imagine that development.
I am going to be extremely disappointed if Miho and Yuki turn out to be the same person.
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityHow exactly would that work?
The Philosopher-King ParadoxThe same way that there's a robotic PS 2 accessory and hordes of Zombies. And the same way that Tokyo has a Rent-A-Zilla service and cops in mechs.
Ecstasy is Sustained Intensity
That seems like too much for two comics. Unless it's supposed to be "overly busy", but still- the scribbly crowd and the overlapping character interactions are overwhelming.
