How to create your own troper page
Note: if you started with a handle beginning with a number or containing an non-alphanumeric, you need to make a handle beginning with a letter and only containing alphanumerics.
- Click on your name in a forum post of yours or click your profile picture on the upper right corner of the screen and select "Troper Page" from the drop down menu.
- On the page that appears, click on the edit button.
- Edit the page. If you want markup help, click on the "Show Markup Help" button.
- Save your changes.
- You're done. Congratulations! Give yourself a cookie.
I would also like to know how can I add tropes to my page.
Thanks a lot in advance!

You mean this page: Shadow Force Silver?
Works fine for me. Your last saved edit was about 35 minutes ago.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Would I create my troper page the same way even though my username is also a trope?
Yes. You'll notice my username is also a work.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI've made myself a Troper page, but can't for the life of me figure out how to get it indexed into the Contributors' section. The "Tools" option that's supposed to be "up and to the left" isn't there. The Contributors section doesn't seem to have an edit feature either.
I did find *a* "tools" bar, but in it I can't find any options for indexing the specific page I want to work with. It just seems like a navigation tool for the website in general.
Help?
It will be added when I get around to set page types. Will take a while though.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI finished my Tropers page, but I need some help adding it to the contributors index since the new format is kind of confusing me.
It automatically indexes, like we have said several times.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Just making a page. Thanks.
Just saying hi and getting situated before posting my troper page that I'm worried is a marry sue. Well wishes and bye.
I have things to learn. I need to study before I ask questions.I plan to use my page for rough drafts, uncompleted things, which I don't necessarily need or want others to view until they're done. Or is that done elsewhere?
Nothing you do on the wiki is private in the sense that you're the only one who can see it. That said, you are certainly welcome to use your troper page as a sandbox to draft stuff you want to contribute to the wiki. We do not advise that you use it to draft content for other sites or for your own offline use. There are lots of other places where you can do that, like Google Drive.

We strongly discourage them, partly because they generate related wicks on other articles, while Tropers pages do not. Also, writing Trivia about yourself is pretty self-indulgent, don't you think? If it's about your work, then write an article for that work.

Ah, thank you! This was really helpful. :}
Ok now something worked but it doesn't save changes when I try to bold words or insert trope links :/
I don't remember a time without having TV Tropes being open on my browser...
