How to create your own troper page
Note: if you started with a handle beginning with a number or containing an non-alphanumeric, you need to make a handle beginning with a letter and only containing alphanumerics.
- Click on your name in a forum post of yours or click your profile picture on the upper right corner of the screen and select "Troper Page" from the drop down menu.
- On the page that appears, click on the edit button.
- Edit the page. If you want markup help, click on the "Show Markup Help" button.
- Save your changes.
- You're done. Congratulations! Give yourself a cookie.
I would also like to know how can I add tropes to my page.
Thanks a lot in advance!

How to get my handle added to the contributors page... That is the question in statement form...
Don't forget to type the page.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt should automatically index if you set the page type correctly. Looks like it's there already.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Either the system was slow getting it on the page or someone did me a favor, because I didn't it there before. I guess now is a good time as any to ask how to upload a picture to fill my empty ID. In settings right?
Yes, in Settings. The image is limited to 100 pixels by 100 pixels maximum display size and no more than 20K file size.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Cool, cool. You'll be seeing Jim Raynor around then.

I'm trying to create my contributor page, but I was redirected into the home page. Are there any suggestions on what I should do?
Wiki article URLs cannot start with a digit. You'll have to use a workaround, like Tropers.Three One Three Bluestreak, then custom title it.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Pages can't start with a number. Create it at either Tropers.Three One Three Bluestreak or Tropers.Three Hundred Thirteen Bluestreak and then customise the title to 313 Bluestreak. You may want to put the link in your signature so people can find it easily.
Fighteer should be called Ninjateer.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Okay, I've already got my troper page Three One Three Bluestreak, and I have already used the custom title tool. But I'm not sure if the custom title is there. 313 Bluestreak is still a redlink. I also need to have the link redirected to the contributor's page.

Can't do it. If your handle starts with a number, the URL from your post will also start with one - and not work.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYou could post the link in your signature, though.
Look, can someone please, please, PLEASE tell me how to edit the Contributors page?
This page says:
"Click the Tools button on the left hand side to open up the Tools menu. Click the "set page type button". Select "contributor"."
I cannot get past the first part. I cannot see anything that says "set page type button" on that page.
So can someone please explain it, carefully, and completely?
That is the page type button, not the edit button.
Now if you are talking about this, you can't edit it - you need to create a troper page first, under maedar.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOn any wiki page, you should be able to see three blue ovals in the top left◊ (though they may be below that side's ad). The first will be labelled "troperville", and the second is "tools". These are drop-down menus; click the "tools" one. The second item in the column that comes up◊ tells you the page's current type, if it has one, and has a button reading "set page type". After you've created your troper page, or at least edited it once, you'll be able to click this and set the page type.
Edit: Oh, I see. This set of instructions is for when you're looking at your troper page (reach it through the link Sep gave). The Contributors is an auto-generated list that your name will show up on after you've created your troper page and set its type.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going. No, it seems I was in the wrong place, I wanted to know how to make a Troper Page. I thought I had to put my name on Contributors first.
So, if you could point me to the right place...
We did. Click maedar and start editing. Then set the page type to "contributor".

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"More of a hypothetical question, apparently the page does not support pages which start with a number, including troper pages. Would it possible to make a page with the written out variant "Three Of Four" and then redirect it somehow?
If not or complicated in any way, nevermind.
"You can reply to this Message!"Possible to create, but the only way to link to it would be through your signature.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynmanhmm...better than nothing, I suppose. Thanks :)
"You can reply to this Message!"Hello, I'm having a problem. This is my profile page, which I have edited many many times:
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tropers/BlueIce-Tea
And as you can see, I'm quite clearly logged in, so I should be able to edit it again. But when I click the "edit" button, I get a message saying:
"This page is only editable by Blue Ice-Tea."
Well, that's me! So why can't I edit it?
'Crisis or no, nothing should interfere with tea!'That URL had a hyphen that your account name lacks.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman
Thanks.
