Odd. I fixed my link, but it doesn't seem like I did anything different, even when adding in the page address again. Perhaps a glitch on SMBC's side? My link's working fine now.
Anyways, we've got a new one - Geometry!... or, maybe this one's really about Turing tests. I'm confused.

Would you believe this is the first time I've heard of this Bible verse? They sure didn't cover that in Sunday School.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI had to read about the slaughter of the Amelekites for my Bar mitzvah and give a speech interpreting it.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Of course robots can be abusive. We were able to teach a chatbot to be a racist, after all.
I'm not one to judge. I mean, who doesn't get aroused by amazing scientific discoveries or technological breakthroughs?
No one?...oh.
...Yeah, I could see future people doing this. I certainly wouldn't mind getting zapped so that I find my boring office job more fulfilling.
The dark side of adulthood. Not only do you have a fuckton of responsibility, you can't even enjoy the things you wanted to do as a kid thanks to your decaying meat shell.
Ah yes, the true meaning of Christmas: crushing disappointment.
I'm not sure what it says about me that I consistently find these strips hilarious. Utilitarian Time Travel in particular makes me chortle.

Disgusted, but not surprisedJust a heartwarming scene between a robot and his meatbag.

Disgusted, but not surprisedIn which SMBC invents the library.
My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger.Gotta admit, I'd actually want to work at Google if this was how they did things.
Disgusted, but not surprisedWhat is this "human level intelligence" of which he speaks?
It can't be that straightfoward to win over sci-fi nerds, can it...?
Proust famously uses "Gomorrah" to mean lesbians (I remember there's an epigraph from someone else who does, but I can't remember the name), but I don't think he ever comes up with "Gomorry."
My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger....I guess I'm a lousy human being? But I'll post this nonetheless.
My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger.I'm now very intrigued after reading today's ad.
Zach seems to really love the thing.
I'm definitely intrigued as well. I doubt I'm in the target audience, but if I had kids, I'd definitely buy this.
His book does have impressive recommendations anyway.
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.3/05 strip: Dad Joke 2
Don't forget to check the votee button. It makes the punchline go from sad to heartwarming.
Disgusted, but not surprisedThat is a very nice use of the extra panel. As for the alt text, I wouldn't be too surprised if someone else had done it already because part of me feels like we've already used every possible dad joke
If you look at the comments, that webcomic artist did indeed make a comic with that joke. He in fact wrote out a multi-strip story revolving around that joke.

Disgusted, but not surprisedWhelp, I took a look at the comments, and I deeply regret it. Jesus christ, people are assholes.
Yeah, that particular comment chain wasn't there when I posted the link. It's pretty awful.
Disgusted, but not surprisedWhat if our superintelligent AI decides to keep us safe and happy in a zoo while it spreads its version of consciousness into the universe?
As is typical for this sort of comic, the punchline is that the human is initially outraged, then decides that they are satisfied with cake and porn.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Also typical for this comic, the AI denies said cake and porn by reminding the human it is going to provide needs, not wants.

Disgusted, but not surprisedEven when you try to exploit a Monkey's Paw's tendency to twist wishes, it still finds a way to twist your wish.
Disgusted, but not surprised
Try this.
